I think Group A Australia, Japan and Uzbekistan will progress and group B- South Korea, Iran and Saudi Arabia. With the Saudi's playing NZ for last spot at world cup! NZ will take it to!

only two teams from each group go through mate. 3rd place play of for a game against the sheep.

or are you saying that it will be uzbek vs the suadis in the play of, with the saudis beating the uzbeks then beating the sheep ??

I thought was pretty clear seeing as both teams were in 3rd position and they do proceed out of the group. To a playoff. Then another playoff against NZ. And i think New Zealand will qualify for the World CUP in South Africa 2010.
Imagine a Group on South Africa, England, Australia and NZ wouldnt that be funny!

The groups are seeded to so we will be a 4th (maybe 3rd but prob not). So would NZ so we are unlikely to get drawn with them.

My dream??

England and Australia in the same group combining results to knock Italy or Germany out - and being there to see the very 1st WC game between the 2 sides.

I was thinking out that the other day as well and how awesome it would be.

Was also thinking about paired with Italy and how motivated the boys would be.

I thought that only the top group was seeded and then each region is placed in a pot so that regions dont clash eg. 2 teams from Asia or South America in same group.

The top 8 teams including South Africa are seeded. So teams likely are Italy, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Paraguay and Netherlands.

Btw, because of our awesomely epic shitness in Thailand, we get to qualify for the 2011 edition of the Asian Cup.  We're set down for 2 qualifiers in January 2009 - at home on the 14th against Kuwait (word is that Skilled Park will get this one), and away on the 28th to Indonesia.  The rest of those qualifiers will be played late 2009 and early 2010.

It appears that the Asian Cup Qualifier against Kuwait has been rescheduled for March 5th.  The away Indonesia fixture stands as is for now.  This is what we have to look forward to.....

Our other fixtures in this qualifying series are as follows:

14th November 2009 - at home to Oman
18th November 2009 - away to Oman (nice quick turnaround that one)
6th January 2010 - away to Kuwait
3rd March 2010 - at home to Indonesia
