Backs turned even?

I'll abuse him and give him stick coz he plays for Sydney, but I won't turn my back.  His 7 goals last season helped us win the league and claim a spot in asia.

I will always respect Johnny as a player but when he wears a blue shirt he's a c**t ;)

Damn I hate Aloisi so much, can't give a rats arse now what he has done for Australia (Got us in the WC). After watching over highlights from last season, every time he scores he's always up seem to be up himself.

It just proves that he loves the limelight and whatnot.

Cannot wait till we play Sydney next with Aloisi playing at our home ground. It'd be good to smash them for sure.

Yeah I agree with that too, but the media loves to say it was him and what have you.

agree with what deej said

must say that john was a true professional when at the mariners - he handled the swarms and swarms of kids (and adults) wanting a piece of him so well and always with a smile on his face

always made time for the fans and was always interested in a chat, as was his brother

I'm not one to wish an injury upon anyone, but when it helps our cause and hinders another's then I do take solace in that!

Enjoyed reading these comments from Sash about MoneyBoy  (article from SBS)...

Petrovski has mixed feelings over the departure of Aloisi to Sydney FC, indicating that while the Socceroos star made an indelible impression as the Mariners surged to the premiership - and last season's Grand Final - the team had to 'carry' him at times.

"You always miss big players," he said. "Aloisi is no exception but you have to remember he came into a team when we were top of league - and we had to adjust around him because he wasn't fit at first after being out of the game for around three months."

"We played to his strengths and he was allowed to get away with a lot of things. He struggled a bit with his knee (the same problem which has hindered his start at new club Sydney) and we had to carry him on occasions."

"The team suffered a little as a result but that said John's arrival was huge for us. It give us a boost, just like it will at Sydney. The A-League needs players of his calibre because he brings a lot to the table. He came to us at a time when we needed him and it was fantastic for the club."

Hehe, that'd be beautiful.  Put him out for the season.  Preferably in the last minute though - you don't want to Sydney fans to be saying 'the only reason you won is because our star striker was out'.

Much better when the only reason we win is because everything about us is better than them :D

Oh, and Bear - I reckon only those who have seen the movie could truly appreciate just how full of awesome your avatar is :D  Loving it!!

However, it would be amusing to see his knee explode (again) during the warm up and he gets carted off to the sounds of Harper et al sobbing.

Yep your spot on! You can certainly take it from us that pretty much anyone's better than a striker who never plays!!!  ;)
