ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Theo looked better than I thought he was yesterday
I agree and it highlighted for me what you don't see on TV. That last 5 mins before half time from 40-45 he looked great on tv (I watched it back). He's out of shot for most of it. If you were at the ground and watching him you'd see he was totally spent and not contributing. Basically from just before he got the lazy yellow. A massive liability in a pro side. Live you'd have seen his team mates imploring him to run and mark but he's totally cooked and physically can't. This is not attitude, he's just done. He's a good player that is improving but he's not fit enough and carrying too much timber for a fast paced attacking side. Much to Michael's disdain I can see why he gets Hoole comparisons, one minute he's doing something extraordinary next minute he's strolling around knackered or he's giving the ball away. I do think he's got great potential and i think he's improving. However, fitness is going to make or break him. You've got the skills, peak your fitness and get rich doing what you love. I think he'll get there, seems coachable and already much better than the start of the season.

He was in early for pre season and we're now half way through. He ain't getting any fitter. This is his peak. It isn't good enough for what we're trying to do as a team. He had his best game yet, but you have highlighted exactly why I call him lazy. He just isnt going to be fit enough to do the job.

The chanting 6-1 just as the blue was breaking up did not come over too well on the tv. At the ground, upstairs on the west side, it was massive.
I suspect Storm may have got the red for being the first from the bench to cross the line onto the pitch, probably on the linesman's report.

Another thing that was obvious at the game but you have to look for on the replay is that when Antonis blows up at Kersey for giving the free kick, Kersey just holds his arms out as if to say what else could I do instead of putting Antonis in his place. It looked weak and did not help.

Hoole comparisons are pretty shit tbh. There is a massive difference between someone who tries but can't go for 90 minutes and that lazy spoilt scummer who thought he was too good for us.
While I think that the hoole comparisons are slightly unfair, it's more that he is the symbol for someone who doesn't live up to the potential.

Drop the arrogance and the attitude and take his head out of his own arse, there was a pretty decent technical football in Hoole. He just only ever showed glimpses of it.

Maybe it was the environment at the time that drove the attitude (hell there were seasons I reckon I was a better footballer than what we had running around on the pitch).

Theo will be a handy squad player for 25-30 at the end of games or at best Ray Martin (good for 60 minutes) but he isn't going to be a 90+ minute player.

I'm not a fan of Faghani, but I cant see that fiasco happening if he was controlling the match. Instead of backing away and letting things get worse, I expected Kersey to intervene early on; he didn't even blow his whistle.

Kersey is a piss weak ref anyway.

City can get away with whatever they want in their eyes. They own the league after all. The place SFC used to be in under Uncle Frank
Arrogant tossers who have a tantrum when it doesnt go their way.
We broke the soul of their club in the GF, they didnt rebuild, chose a nothing coach and wonder why everyone isnt falling down in front of them. Too many over the hill players on massive money with massive egos living in the past.
Man United if you will
