Midfielder/striker Kwasnik joined Phoenix from Central Coast Mariners on a one-season deal at the start of the 2008/09 season. He played 12 games for Wellington, starting seven times. His release may spark a move back to NSW to join the Jets or Mariners for the Asian Champions League.

"Adam worked very hard during his time here and was a valuable contributor during the season," said Pgnata.

"He is a quality player and a fine professional and it's unfortunate that things didn't work out for him and for the club. I'm certain he will do well in the future and the club wishes him all the best."

would seem fairly conclusive?

Nix media release:

February 4, 2009
MEDIA RELEASE
For immediate release
PHOENIX FAREWELL PAIR
Wellington

WELLINGTON Phoenix forwards Greg Draper and Adam Kwasnik will not have their contracts renewed by the club for the Hyundai A-League 2009/10 season.

Draper has spent two seasons with the Phoenix, having signed with the Wellington club as one of the three mandatory under-20 players required on the clubs roster.

The promising young striker has had limited opportunities with the Phoenix a situation compounded by the Wellington clubs shut-out from Football Federation Australias new National Youth League.

Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata said it was unfortunate that the club had been forced to make such a tough decision regarding the 20-year-old.

Ultimately it became apparent that it was very unfair on Greg not to be giving him the gametime he needs to develop further as a footballer. Greg is a tremendous talent for the future but, given that we dont have a team in the National Youth League, the opportunities for him to play good, competitive football were few and far between.

It was decided that the best course of action for Greg was to help him into a situation where he will be playing more regularly and the club will do everything possible to achieve that.

Pignata said the Phoenix would seek to help Draper join a team in the Australian state leagues or the New Zealand Football Championship.

Itll do Greg a power of good to simply be playing football. Weve got some good contacts with state league clubs in Australia and weve already made some approaches regarding Greg. I think he will really show his potential when he starts playing more regularly.

Midfielder/striker Kwasnik joined the Phoenix from the Central Coast Mariners on a one-season deal at the start of the 2008/09 season. He played 12 games for Wellington, starting seven times.

Adam worked very hard during his time here and was a valuable contributor during the season. He is a quality player and a fine professional and its unfortunate that things didnt work out for him and for the club. Im certain he will do well in the future and the club wishes him all the best.

Kwasi back to Mariners !  Are we serious ? Is this our club being ambitious ?  Poor Kwasi starts only 7 for Wellington, is he the answer to our midfield ?  I think not.  Do we even have a recruitment policy ? Or is it if Lawrie likes you, your all good.
Prepare for a asian arse kicking, and yes I am bitter and twisted, because I, like all of you, have followed the Mariners since day one, pre-season tournament V's Newcastle, He's white, he's shite tonight is not his night, Ned Zelic...Ned Zelic.....

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, But in today's Central Coast Express an artical about the new strip and a possible new signing Shane Huke.

The only infomation they give about him is, He is a centre Mid and was released by his English league 2 side Dagenham and Redbridge last month to chase a contract with us.

He's only 23, So still fairly young. Good signing IMO, if it happens or of the deal has been done, which according to wikipedia it has..

hmmm
Culina vs Fowler

Nationalism- current socceroo >> Fowler
Ability- Culina = prime >>> Fowler

BUT
Achievements in football= Fowler>>>daylight>>>Culina
Fowler is wat a marquee is meant to be

That said I would rather Culina over Fowler just for performance reasons!
