Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. Melbourne City are reportedly close to signing Croatian attacking midfielder Antun Palic as their marquee for the upcoming A-League season.
Palic, 29, is a free agent after recently finishing up a two-year stint with Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest.
The attacking midfielder is on the look out for a new club, and the Sydney Morning Herald reports he is close to signing a marquee deal with City.
Warren Joyce's men have been in the market for a new attacker following the departure of Anthony Caceres to the UAE.
Palic, while not as glamorous as previous marquees the club has signed, would be a direct replacement for Caceres on the pitch.
The Zagreb-born playmaker represented Croatia at U19, U20 and U21 level but has never played for the senior team.
Palic has played for a total of eight clubs across four countries in his 10-year playing career.
After starting his career in his home country, Palic moved to Cypriot club AEK Larnaca before stints in Thailand with Bangkok United, Slovenia with NK Krka and lastly in Romania with Dinamo
