A-League Transfers and Rumours

OK, so this isn't A League, but I didn't know where else to put it.
How on earth does this kid get a trial in England? Well of course I can read that Darrell Clarke used his contacts downunder.
Not wanted by an A league club? Or not noticed?

Lewis Hall
An Australian who has never played in the UK before, Darrell Clarke explained after the Melksham match that he has used his contacts down under to get Hall on trial at Rovers.

He signed a deal with Heidelberg United last year to continue with the club during the 2017 season. The side play in the National Premier Leagues Victoria - one of ten regional leagues directly below the top level A-League.

Clarke also explained Hall has been with the club for a week now and he'll take a look at him in one or two more games.
You see so many of these players and it's truly disappointing to see them not in an A-League side's academy. There are NPL players who are more than capable of playing A-League but we seem completely incapable of giving them a proper chance.

Sometimes it's who you know. I used to know a fella who ran football clinics who had links to Sheffield Wednesday. Part of his thing was trying to get his kids trials with them and obviously youth contracts.
Plenty of kids slip through the cracks because of various reasons, the biggest problems being money and politics.

Obviously he wouldn't get in the first team.
Makes me wonder how he'd qualify for a visa, unless he has a euro or British passport.

Nabbout being chased by a Middle East club, first offer rejected by Jets however expect a revised offer. That may dent their plans especially with Burns staying in Japan.

Would've liked to see him come to us. Mother apparently lives on the coast, former player in the local league too.

Been told by a very reliable source Mark Milligan back to Victory
I've heard the same as the Socceroos ranking has provided Visa issues so his attempt for Europe is almost impossible. Apparently a couple of Mid East clubs also keen but he has had his pay day there so will probably come back to Oz. Also heard Troisi maybe to City as Mark Key, suspect the Israel deal may not yet be finalised.

Aussie Jackson Irvine is being chased by Leeds United apparently after carving it up for Burton Albion last season.
