Haven't said when yet, either 08/09 or 09/10.

If the consortia can reach certain criteria within two weeks, than it will be 08/09. If not then 09/10.

Anyone got any idea if the extra teams and matches triger a change to the Fox contract, meaning more money or do the existing clubs get less.

Interesting by moving to a 10 team 27 round format increase matches from 90 to 141 or an increase of 51 on 90, which is well over a fifty percent increase in games.

I haven't seen anything on the number of rounds/games - is this definitely the case that they will be increased with the new teams?

Simple 10 teams is 5 games per round. 27 rounds * 5 games equales 135 games + the six final matches is 141 games.

I haven't seen anywhere where they have discussed the number of games/rounds with ten teams.

I automatically assummed it would be 27 rounds, but who knows.

It seems to me that by keeping it to three rounds thus far, FFA have deliberately tried to squeeze it in and not overlap with the drug, alcohol and women abusers who when not under the influence occassionally throw and kick an egg ball around.

I agree. I would think with the suggestions of Verbeek amongst others, they would be looking at expanding beyond 27 rounds.

i think play each other 4 times each would be good which would mean 36 rounds. It means home and away games for each club are normalised

I think we have got to the point where we dont have to care either way about afl/league games on the same time for crowds. Though i must admit i dont know about ratings.

I heard that hyandai is about to increase the money for the sponsorship of the league which is good.

Hopefully, with more games, the ffa will get more cash from fox.

Though clubs should be able to claim more from sponsors hopefully,

Ground availability might be an issue for MV, Lowy FC, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
