ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i honestly dont understand why they have to be the same colours than us r they dun or something???

Don't know if they are 'dun' or not, but as long as their strip is significantly different from ours, who cares? Do they actually have jersey designs out already?

thats fair to say. and we could hope they use a more orangey yellowy colour
it would be a shame if it was nearly the same (rhyme not intended)

rofl....i understand what your saying, they should have adopted colours which have zero connection to the area they are representing for the sole reason that a few 'coasties' will have a whinge.

Totally agreed

Didn't our colours (ie. blue and yellow in general) come from this:

Maybe we can expect colours like this from GC United (ie. mainly blue):

not likely...

why we would've been based on a club who made it through one season alone and were only conceived as rupert's way of annoying the newcastle knights is beyond me. i'm pretty sure it was simply sand and ocean that did the colours for us. as for the name, no idea. probably harking back to the history of the city as a port for shipping cedar logs.

Colour - look at colour of Central Coast business sign (light but still blue and yellow)

Name - Ian Kiernan's involvement I understand

The away strip looks like it through in yellow, blue, and baby poo just to specifically clash with home jerseys.

soz, reebok 5 year contract

Indeed. And even at the end, they will all go to nike, or bok, or das or whoever. But all to the one maker. So dont expect them to care too much about different strips.
