Good to see stadium management still have no common sense, remember them throwing out a bloke waving a Greek flag at a NRL game after they won the Euro championship. No one had an issue with the flag and thought it was quite funny but it nearly caused a big stink as everyone jumped in on security as they tried to rip it out of his hand.

The boys tried their best but as everyone is alluding to we really lack that quality in a couple of areas. Need a quality CB who can organize the back and who is comfortable on the ball and a proven finisher at the least. Until we fix that we are not going to be winning many games as we are making too many defensive errors and not creating and scoring goals. In the middle third we actually look ok and held possession well. Monty played well and Caceres had a great game.....there is obviously lots of potential there.
One thing that pleased me was the interplay at times between Storm/Fab/Caceres on the right hand side. Surely something to build on going into next season unless Mossy can't see it.
Baffled by Major on the left. I would like to see Cernak given more time, either on the left or as striker.
I'm looking to next season...I would like to see us build a side around something like this...i would hope from more from Fitzy as i really like his workrate but we are not creating and we need to.

Mostly I'd probably tend to agree... Funny thing is though,a s I've pointed out before... I'm not sure I can put my finger on the main issue.

For mine, in your line-up, the question mark next to Kalik is more around which decent player to pick, than it's about us not having anyone for the position.
I rate Fitz, but he definitely hasn't looked his best lately - much the same as Caceres actually. I still think Vernes is worth a go there, when he recovers, just to push Fitsy a little.

Problem now becomes where to start Cernak, unless we look for a repeat of yesterday's game, an play Fab for the first half and Cernak for the second - or vice-versa, which might be worth considering in light of Fab only just recovering from injury.
Up front, I stand by Matty... Again probably for a Major sub... Maybe... Or the Kiwi kid that someone suggested we were looking at

That leaves CB and that's a conundrum in its own right. I think Rosie is a good extension, because he's shown that he play there, but he's not an out-out CB obviously, especially not playing next to someone that needs mentoring in the spot... So for mine, the primary thing is for us to find an awesome CB for next season...

Agree re Major. Striker - right foot - played on left wing - looked uncomfortable. How that is going to develop him I don't know.
Change him for Simon, don't care who starts but play him at CF.
Maybe give Cernak a shot at LW if we don't have a specialty player for that position.

Agree about needing a CB - remember Zwaanswijk's long diagonal passes, Bosnar does not have that in his locker and doesn't seem to marshal the defence the same either.
For the goals last night there were huge gaps in the backline, it looked like someone was missing.

Bosnar does not have that in his locker and doesn't seem to marshal the defence the same either.
For the goals last night there were huge gaps in the backline, it looked like someone was missing.

It was pretty appalling. I can't see Bosnar having his contract extended after this season, in spite of his "bullet" boot. He just doesn't run with the ball at his feet at all. He just stands there, does a little shuffle, turns half around , and then mis-directs his pass, all while the opposition attack is being given plenty of time to close any of those opportunities while he dithers. imho.

I think we all agree on this. I would sooner have had Sim or Cernak on the left,Trif starting in the middle and Matty or Travis up front. I'm guessing Fitz was been rested for the Sydney game.

I'm stunned we are still trying to get Boz to do those long crossfield passes that just sail over players heads. Patrick could do it but Bosnar can't. We have to play to our strengths and within the skill level of the players we have.
