ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm sure I heard it stated at the forum that there would be 6- and 10-month payment options, but the only option I can find is 5-month.

My take: Home games in 13/14 we had 2 x 5pm games, 5 x 5.30pm games and 6 x 7.30 games. :) In 14/15 we have: 2 x 3pm games, 6 x 5pm. games & 3 x 7.30pm games.

For us, my good, still working, wife, and my retired self, this year 4 of the 6 5pm. games are out as she is working. The 3pm games are out as well, same same.

We won't be going to NSO or Brookie.

In 13/14 we were able to make most of the 5.30pm games, a little late in her case, up to 30 mins. But we got good value from our 2 Gold Member passes. :)

As a result of the draw this year I'm only getting her a 6 game Navy pass as she will only be able to make 5 games, the 3 x 7.30pm games and 2 of the 5pm. games when her roster allows. For me I think I will get a season Navy pass, but I'm seriously considering getting only a 6 game Navy pass as well.

How's that for a loss of income for the club? :( But as mentioned earlier we are still going to be members so will be in the total member count.

Anyone else have the same problem?

if I can get there I will . i'll do whatever I can for the club.

Yep, great sentiments. I applaud you  I will too, that's why I'm still considering the season Navy pass.

But part of the enjoyment for us was to be at the games together, cheering on our team :shoutclap:
It can't happen this season.

Re NSO & Brookie, NSO is a 7.30pm game, but when my wife finishes at 5.30pm and gets home around 6pm there is really not enough time to get there. Brookie falls into the 5pm. category, and anyway there's the transport time to consider too, so it's also out of the question.

An as expected response, I was pissed off last year when management state supporters concerns will be considered, then within 48 hours McBreen and McGlinchey are sold.
Change of the guard stuff - Arnie's team to Mossy's team

McBreen had a dummy spit - Wanted a last pay day - We can't match that & he looked tired & was playing horrible
McGlinchy needed his sugar daddy - To be fair was due a move try himself o/s as being one of our better & more consistant performers
Trent - Out grew the A League

The players are just as much to blame as management - They are hardly pushed out the door they all say yes I want to go.

Don't think you will get the same movement this year but even if you do it's what the Mariners do.

What else will you do with your time & money.

It just as much a social event or chance to get out of the house as it is supporting your local area performing on the national stage, for a regional area that's huge in itself.

Id rather you say I'm tired of supporting the Mariners & it's not fun any more than management sold a player so I'm out.

Presume you are talking retail jobs here & as a fairly retail oriented area could have an effect.

But it's a bit catch twenty two the older members probably prefer to get home earlier or families can still get home in time for bed or dinner then bed.

Maybe bring your concerns to management so for future years they can try to get less of these time slots.

Think it was the jets who were complaining about more 5.30pm games on sat nights as well saying they aren't as good a puller as the 7.30pm games. Might be a regional issue that the FFA & the clubs need to look at obviously the TV command a bit on what happens as well.

Members resign because of poor management placing more pressure on an already under performing [this sites view] management ...

Lets assume our crowds fall to an 8K average .... how do we expect Charlesworth to react ...

Lets assume our crowds increase to 11K ... how do we expect Charlesworth to react...

My personal take is I can not renew tell anyone who will listen how poorly the club is run and say """ I told you so ""'

Or

I can renew, tell everyone I can to come to matches ...

One way helps the club stay on the Coast ... the other does not ...

When a board and senior management make a decision they understand has risks and will annoy a lot of stakeholders ... normally such decisions are made after much analysis ... many on this site have questioned the owners and managements decisions on moving 2 of 13 games ... the reasons behind the decisions have been dismissed by many and largely ignored ... I am unsure on the reasons but I do not have the facts as they would have had in front of them...

Final comment ... so I can choice to support the team and accept 11 games ... OR I can not support the team because of 2 games which are still in relative terms are within say 60 to 90 minutes and assume the figures and reasons provided by the club are BS or factually wrong ...

Our group [5] will renew for the 11 home games unsure about the away games at this stage...

Dead right, retail  . The hours there are baaad, but we put up with it in our senior working years, not much choice really.

I think during this year I will watch crowd attendances at CCS closely and later in the season after trends may become obvious I'll do that, contact Club Management and voice my concerns. Who knows how many will be affected in the same way as us.

A night at the game was a social event, a few (ahem) light ales, a meal, and company at the game, going home feeling good about a win, or going home knowing that if it was a loss it didn't matter so much, we were there, screaming our lungs out and supporting the team.

I do think TV calls the shots, just the same as it does with the NRL, not so much with the all powerful AFL though. But 5pm. games? meh! It may be a pitch to people who may come to the games and then will move on to other entertainment later. But what we need are F.A.N.S. , diehard supporters who will go to the game as their main event of the night, the weekend or the week. Like yourselves, really. :)

i think you will find that 5:00 over 5:30 will suit the majority of members with families/ kids more, giving most the ability to be home at a more decent time… BUT i think the rational behind it may be fox sports trying to move the next games 7:45 kick off to a slightly more prime time of 7:30 (EDIT RE- the saturday night games)

So is there any word on what the deal is with memberships and the active support area? Just wondering what sort of membership to get, because I do have some games where frankly I can't be arsed with the bay, and then there are others where a team of burly bouncers with cattle prods ain't keeping me out.

Depends where u want to sit on those other days.
Could be best just buying YA & then sit elsewhere. Although the FFA might come after you & force you to sit in the Active Area.
