ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Nothing worse than entitled whingers, saw one today tearing strips of a pour 15 yr old kid at a burger chain for getting the order wrong.

a small under resourced club had issues with the manufacture of some plastic cards which means you have to press print on an email. Wow what a tragedy!
make sure your standing next to ca . you'll be a winner to , cheers

Got the remainder of all 5 passes today.
Went to HQ today and they were totally on the ball. Secured another membership for my Manager.....and apparently we have cracked 5200 already.
Also got a copy of the code for $20........brilliant value!

I became a member on Day 1. I have paid for a family Gold Membership for 10 years and for 3 of those years my business also had a Corporate Suite. "Entitled whinger?" I don't think so but I do think we are entitled to better than what the club has provided. Renewed and paid over 2 months ago. No card, no emailed ticket and nobody answering the phone this afternoon (that included ringing 3 direct numbers).

Under resourced? Crap - incompetence, mediocrity and inefficiency.

Oh well. The last postie disappeared down the street and all I got in my mailbox was cobwebs.

Now where did I file my card from last season....

I live way out west and I got my card yesterday but if I don't attend the first 3 home games, does anyone know if they will post my merchandise i.e scarf to me?

. i'm going to join the chorus of 'whingers' ... simply because i think it is time that the club picked up their game on some of these little things. for the staff and the truly committed it is often not seen a a big issue or 'part of the charm' ... but these are not the people the club needs to impress

. it is irrelevant that we have been members for 10 years and paid back in May (May FFS!) or that we did finally receive our cards in the last mail ... it causes stress. unnecessary phone calls to the club over the last couple of days (per their instructions) doesn't really help anybody

. excuses such as 'australia post has sent them out in batches' or 'supplier issues' just indicate how little effort or thought has gone into it ... choosing the wrong supplier (again!) or being let down by a one day delay in the post will only continue to piss people off - and they now appear to have more staff than ever before

. i just don't get it ... and i don't think people realise how much of a deterrent this stuff can be for people ... there are reasons people drift in and out of membership and commitment to the club - this is another example

. if the member pack distribution is as much as a debacle as last year ... it's probably best i stay well clear of referees today

. oh and one more thing ... i'm still interested to know the break-up of membership numbers ... for example how many of our 5,000+ members have only committed to going to 3 games this year (and i mean home games not away games in addition to the full compliment of home games)

Gold for me and 6 game Navy for my wife due to work conflicts with so many 5pm. games. What will be will be. We still get to see the team play at home, so I'm happy enough.
I think it's true though that the actual subscription cost for membership doesn't contribute *that* much to the club's coffers. It's just that it gives the club negotiating power, perhaps? Anyway, not all members are going to attend all home games, so the membership numbers are probably only a guide to CCS attendance.

Apologies for turning this into a first world problems thread. Everyone has a right to express their frustrations.

I would like to make an offer to anyone who has been inconvenienced by having to print a ticket or pick up a ticket at the stadium...

Today I will be missing the game due to work commitments, I will be at a sexual health conference making sure presenters pictures of infected, mutilated genitals and anal puss sacks make it up on the big screen. If anyone would like to trade places, I would happily suffer the indignity of pressing command-p or having to stand in a line for a while at the opening game of the season against our biggest rivals.

Any takers?

The delays suck but we are a club that has to keep the budgets tight and there actually a lot volunteers at this time of year needed to get the memberships out. I know for a fact a lot of these staff and volunteers have been slogging it out to the early hours of the morning to make it happen. If you're so peed off why don't you do something about it and help out next time.

We have the cheapest memberships in the competition so unless you wanna pay double like Melbourn City just to get you plastic card on time then shut up and help out.

It might be easy to say Chalsworth owns the team why should I care. He loses one million dollars per season. So I think we can forgive the club for not getting a piece of plastic out on time.

The Mariners are a community club which means it would be great if we could all get in and help out sometimes.

I can feel the frustration of those that have been put in this situation.
It is simply not good enough.

I would imagine that the club saves money by getting the cards printed in bulk & by waiting until the last minute they can get more cards printed at the one time. However, the disillusionment that this causes for members really isn`t worth it.
Therefore, all items to be included in members packages ( scarves, hats etc. ) should be delivered to the office, say 1 month after the memberships go on sale.

That way once a member has purchased their memberships, the cards can be printed at the end of each month, packaged & sent out.
In the month before the season starts have 2 mail outs which then minimises those affected by late deliveries.
That way only the latecomers (like me) are affected.

The other benefit to doing it like this would be that people that actually go to the office to pay could then pick up their packages at the same time, which would save a lot of mail outs.

. ok i'll take the bait

. i mentioned last year's debacle because we did volunteer ... hubby even took a day off work and spent it in the mariners office, so i do speak with some authority - but i don't need to go into the details because that doesn't help either

. the thing that confuses me is how anybody can argue that this saves money. quite frankly they have had six months to get their shit together and they wouldn't need to rely on volunteers at the last moment if they had used it wisely

. those plastic cards cost bugger all so buying in bulk with save you sweet FA ... and all that is shot to bits when 1,000 people sign up in the last week (or whatever it has been). i would have happily picked it up from the office anytime over the last couple of months ... just as i have picked up plenty of things over the years

. to me it is not a huge issue but a massive annoyance ... but i honestly feel that this damages the brand. they are doing far more harm than the small amount they may save

Good points. Thanks for helping out the club last year. BTW I'm not trying to bait anyone just trying to cut the club some slack. And it's game day we should be taking the piss out of the Scum not our club.
