ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm a clutz and put the wrong address on my membership pack (Armadale NSW instead of Armadale VIC, woops), but I can't seem to find an email address to contact so I can make sure my stuff is sent to the right address.

Does anybody know of anyone i can contact? I sent a message to the facebook page but haven't heard anything back.

. 'late September' is Mariners code for ... 'we hope to have them ready for pick up at the season opener' :innocent:
Yup, same old, same old, today's email says:

"Thank you for your support and becoming part of the dream in 2014/15.

We would like to inform our loyal Members that you will be receiving your Membership Cards before Thursday 9th October in the mail. If you do not receive your pack by this date, please call our office immediately on (02) 4353 7200.

Due to an unforeseen delay in our additional items (lanyard & stickers) coming through Customs, these will be available for collection at our first game on Saturday 11 October 2014 when we take on the Newcastle Jets. These can be redeemed at the Members Marquees on the Western Warm Up Field and Dane Drive upon showing your Membership Card. As we wanted to ensure you had your Membership cards in time for the season, these will be sent to you in the coming days and will be received before the first match of the season.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."

Why Middy?

We played shit last year.
We are the most defensive team in the comp.
We have signed two very promising players but have hardly played them in pre- season.
People are hardly going to beat down the fences to sign up.
Us loyal supporters will endure but................?

Sigh I think you are right... but that does not mean my rose coloured glasses cannot hope for better...

Heaps of issues we all are aware of, the two lost home games, the fight with council over ground cost, the weeJudas affair, seemingly threats made by senior management about staying on the coast, the Sour Bitter Sh*ts constant negative stuff about the coast, the owner more overseas than at home, the fight with or fights with the CC Association re the academies..

Having said all that we have two very exciting juniors, on paper two excellent signings.

As I said I am disappointed, not surprised ...

4200 or there about is disappointing
I don't think it's bad at all, for reasons entirely different to Wombat the grumble-guts.

Last year we smashed that because we had a huge memberships drive at this time of year both because we were champions and because our Round 1 game was a certain sellout and it was a way of getting fans to guarantee their tickets. There was bound to be some attrition.

We cracked 5,000 right at the start of October last year, but our previous tally was somewhere in 3,600 territory.and the a-league.com.au membership tracker has us on 4,313 as of a moment ago. So we're down 13% on last year but up about 20% on any other year.

And for all the grumbling, last year was hardly a shocker. For us, it was merely average. We've finished first twice, second twice and third twice, with a sixth and an eighth in there.

Our goal difference was the second worst it's been, our goals for third worst, our goals against third worst. Our home record was good though, at nearly 2pts/game, we just really missed Danny McBreen's 21 goal a season form from the year before at the front and we missed Zwaanzwijk's leadership of a defence that conceded less than a goal a game a year before.

So we went from a team in the handful of best teams there has ever been to a team that was merely in the top third. It's a salary-capped league and we're not in a position to splash on marquees, so that's going to happen.

I don't think we're going to be brilliant this year, but if our development path is that our crowds 'crash out' at merely 9k and we drift to the lower reaches of the finals positions before recovery and rebuilding, we're still doing OK.

Good point. Let's hope this increase in the long term average is genuine growth and not just a reaction to a couple of good seasons.

I just signed up the other day, 4,203 ;)
I'm another late membership buyer.
There might be a few more who kept putting it off until "Wow, the first game's almost here".

We are at 4313 according to the FFA Today. This time last year we just cracked the 5000 mark and ended up at 5960.

Looking good for 4800 I recon.
