IMO if the mariners can get their crosses sorted out, we could have a good game, the pohang defenders arent tall, and we should use this to our advantage, and in saying that i'm not saying we should revert back to long ball tactics

I Bought An ACL Jersey from Rebel Sport On Thursday  8) They Said The Jerseys Are Exclusive To Rebel Sport If The Jerseys Were To Come Out A Couple Of Days Later With Sponsers On Them I Would Be Extremely Pissed Off!

So, you bought one at Rebel sport with no sponsers on it?
I'd rather one of those.

Yeh I bought One With No Sponsers It Looks Very Plain, But Still Good , I Didnt Know They Were Going To Be On Sale!

I Would Like To Get a Number on it and a name but rebel sport dont do this anymore, anyone know where i can get this done ??? ??? ???

If you take it into the Mariners office they can send it off to someone.

Or I might be able to get in touch with someone.

No idea how much either costs tho sorry.

i like that lineup better even though macca and matty don't really work well together, with probably disco, adrian and gumps impact players, maybe smith possibly to be used as an impact player if a player is injured

I wish Kwas and Hutch were playing for Pohang

I wish you supported Newcastle. Ever thought about it.

Go to http://au.fourfourtwo.com/forums/ and check the posts from cool cat, maybe they could both get together and form a detractors group at the south end of bluetounge.

Question i pose to you razor, will there be 1 or 2 people there?
Ever thought of jamming yourself ursus...
Won't appologise for being frustrated with current recruitment lads, if your happy with our current squad then good on you, mediocrity must float your boat!

Agree, with Elrich back in the team somehow, expect plenty of crosses from him, porter and heff. Looking forward to this.
Can anyone tell me if the games they played in china were with the usual high backline?

Were was this money 6 months ago could have signed a desent defence.

money won't be spent on players - will be spent on organising trade delegations

Trade Delegations? What does this mean?

delegations talking up trade and investment opportunities in NSW generally and the Central Coast specifically. would be promoting us as a site for manufacturing, service industry and education in particular I would imagine.

Seeing that we do not have a marquee, and knowing that the mariners will hold out for a good deal rather than jump at anything at any cost, i am happy with the current squad. Its what we have and any amount of rubbish posts bagging the shite out of the guys will not change that.

Your definition of mediocrity would be needed here as i believe that being in the running for the premiership untill rd 17 does not equate to mediocrity.

Isn't the money sponsorship money which means it could be spent on what ever we want.

the money would have stipulations attached to it but i guess there would be a sizeable "sundry" portion for the mariners

meaning *most of it* i would suspect. the mariners will be tied in with the govt activities though - the mariners brand is a very good brand to tie to the central coast region and open doors to the government that otherwise wouldn't be opened. in return we get sponsorship now and we get the opportunity to network with business in korea, china and japan that we wouldn't necessarily have had the chance to meet up with otherwise. partnering with govt shows we're serious.

once you've met with them, they know your brand... you're more of a chance to attract sponsorship than if you'd not had the link-up with the government.

Central Coast Mariners
Media Release
Monday, 8 March

Powers combine to showcase the Central Coast to the world

The Central Coast Mariners maiden AFC Champions League campaign, which kicks off at Central Coast Stadium on Wednesday night, today received an exceptional off-field boost thanks to contributions from the NSW State Government, Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council.

Each of the aforementioned organisations have contributed $200,000 totaling $600,000 to assist the Mariners with their debut continental quest and Hyundai A-League 2009/10 season, which will see the web address thecoast.cc displayed on the front of the Mariners AFC Champions League playing strips.

thecoast.cc, which will be officially launched on the morning of the Mariners highly anticipated showdown with Korean FA Cup winners Pohang Steelers at Central Coast Stadium, will contain information for businesses and tourists that are interested in the vast opportunities that exist from a professional, sporting and lifestyle perspective on the Central Coast.

Scum got no money ... but its hard to put center link building as the heart of the city.

Our management should get a good pat on the back and $ 600, 000 is a reasonable amount of coin for a web page .... must look at it on match day thecoast.cc

Do we not want more jobs on the Central Coast in particular or NSW in general then?

OK, have a starting eleven for tomorrow:

-------------- Danny ---------------
Porter --- Boogs ----- Wilko --- Pedj
Osman --- Huke ----- Hutch --- Heff
-------- Simon ------ Nik -----------

Probable bench:
Redders
Kwas
Rizzo
Clarky
Elrich
Caceras
Dylan/Stringers (if Dylan recovers from his stomach bug)

Crack up of a press conference today. Their Portuguese coach was interpreting through a Portuguese interpretor, who then went through a Korean interpretor, who then spoke the reply in English. Made for a fustrating press conference but I think the gist of it was that they studied heaps of Mariners videos and the danger men for the Mariners are Rizzo, Caceras and Wilkinson. When he said this we all looked at each and nearly lost it.
