Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Is todays match broadcasted in Australia?
Maybe it is worth viewing as we are playing in front of some 75000 people in Dortmund.

Kickoff is at 8.30 pm, 4.30 am your time.
The game wasn,t on.Sometimes we get the Friday game live and sometimes not.We get a highlights show of all the games on a Monday.

there won't probably be any highlights of todays match in this show - there were none...the game was absolutely boring and tough to watch...

Don't know what else we could do.
Played 0:0 at Dortmund which is actually quite good but not in our position and Dortmund was very bad.
Their 3rd goalkeeper (21 years old) who played his 2nd Bundesliga match saved Dortmund the point.

It is too few for us...Now we have to hope that the other teams don't win tomorrow - especially Bielefeld...

Spiro was on the bench and Meggsy not in the squad; don't know why but assume because Kluge is fit again.

Our coach substituted twice at least but he wanted to get Charisteas (a striker) in after 89mins...but the match was over before he could make the substitution...don't know what he wants to achieve with his subs...Koller noticed after 40mins that he is injured but our coach didn't sub...That's unbelievable.
This would have been a good result if you hadn,t blown it last week against Bielefeld.

that's right.

If Bielefeld wins today it will be 4 points to a safing spot with only 3 games to play...But it is still possible to stay in the League as Bielefeld has to play Stuttgart and Bayern, both away...But it will be extremely tough - we have to win against Duisburg next Wednesday otherwise it will be over :'(

yeah that is a good result but it is nothing more than a duty...
we are still alive as Bayern has won against Bielefeld and Cottbus just drawed - but we need to get at least 4 points out of the last 2 matches and it is not sure if this will be enough though.

yeah, the draw against Bielefeld is really really bad... :(

We now have to play Berlin away on Saturday...Berlin is in the middle of nowhere in the league so we might have a chance if we play like we did yesterday, especially in the 1st half.
We started very well (played with both Misimovic and  Mintal as well as Koller and Charisteas; Vittek and Saenko just were on the bench) with some quite good chances and scored 2 brilliant goals (Charisteas, Pinola). After the break Duisburg substituted twice (2 new strikers) and brought on the 4th striker in the middle of the 2nd half; our 2nd half wasn't that good but we got the result over the time....

We have to win on Saturday!!!!!

Just forgot: Spiro was on the bench and Meggsy wasn't in the squad

Although it isn't that far to Berlin I am not going there...gonna watch it on TV
Don't want to go to the place of the greatest victory since a lot of years in such a situation ;D Actually, I don't have time to go there as you have to "waste" a whole day for the match.

There's nothing wasteful about that.
I know the procedure of an away trip; it's nearly the same here when we go to an away match - except of going to a pub right after the breakfast and after the match; we have to leave by bus to Berlin at 6am so no pub is opened at that time...

I need to do some things for uni and some planing for going to Australia although I don't have any acceptance yet...

Yeah, I'd like to come over for one semester, starting this August - but I don't have any acceptance of uni yet...if I don't get one I'll probably come for a language course also starting in August.

Today is doom day.
If we lose against Berlin away and both Bielefeld and Cottbus win (what is possible) then we are relegated...

So we need nothing less than a win!!!! It is going to be a tough match as Berlin wants to play a good and successful last home match of their season...

I hope that we win but I am not that sure about it at all. :-\
