His team just lost to Rangers - next week it will be "ahh the Celtic of the Bundesliga" ;)

(actually I hope the beat Celtic)

Surely Bayern are the worst for referees - they'd be the Sydney FC of the Bundesliga

Just read in the FCN forum that we are interested in Bruce Djite. 442 says that he is likely to join us if Adelaide contracts Cristiano form Willem II from the Netherlands.

Source: http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/75793,cristiano-deal-hinges-on-djite.aspx?r=rss

Dutch-based Brazilian striker Cristiano is poised to join Adelaide United but the deal would hinge on Bruce Djite being sold to make way for the Willem II striker.
Sources close to the deal tell au.fourfourtwo.com that negotiations are still in progress and the move would likely be known in about a weeks time.

Were hopeful though, a source told this website.

Much will depend on Djite. His likely destination at this stage is German strugglers Nurnberg.

Can you tell me anything about him (Bruce Djite)?

Yep, everyone is this country goes on about him being fantastic and a great player. But personally, I think he is average in this league, and a better league will show him for what he really is, average. If Koller and Charisteas are struggling to score in Germany, then Bruce has no chance. Others will disagree with me on this though.

I think Shit-eh is a few years away from being anything more than good HAL standard TBH.

Easily able to make a career here but no chance overseas.

Injury prone too

I disagree with the other two, he's big and strong but quick and he also works hard to come away from goal and win the ball but can still turn and have a go.

Hasn't set the world alight with his goalscoring yet, but a good Olympics and the world is his oyster. Paired with a central midfielder who'll work towards and sometimes even beyond him, he's very dangerous. Adelaide have one of those too - Nathan Burns - and if you take them as a package deal Adelaide fans will cry a lot.

Bruce definitely divides opinion over here. Similar to Mark Viduka - some people think he is class, others think he is a useless lump.

I think for a young guy Bruce has a lot of mature attributes. He has great awareness and vision and he can work well with his back to goal. Unlike Viduka, he is very fast and athletic as well.

If he can develop his touch and finishing, and decision making in the box, he could go on to big things. I actually think he is a bigger prospect than Burns because he is a rarer type of player. Australia produces lots of attacking midfielders but not so many quality target men.

Is he ready for Bundesliga? Probably not. He should get the Olympics under his belt, have a good injury-free season with Adelaide and dominate the A-League, then move abroad. I worry that without playing games, he won't develop his touch/final product.

honestly, I think that it depends on in which league we will play next season and who is going to leave Nrnberg if we contract him.

yeah he's striker.
i think he's very good,
injury has brought him down a fair bit
but when he's out there he is one of
the best strikers in the a-league IMO

Preferred move for Bruce would be to Holland, or maybe Belgium, where he can iron out a few aspects of his game and be ready to really push for a starting spot by 2010

It's all or nothing in tomorrows match against Schalke. It is the last match of that disastrous season.

We have to win and then hope that Bielefeld just draws in Stuttgart.

There are some rumours about players leaving us but nothing has been confirmed so far - so we will see...

Let's hope that we revise that season and get away with a black eye...

Just checked the Bundesliga scores and it looks all over for Nurnburg.1-0 down to Schalke and Bielefeld are 1-0 up at Stuttgart close to half-time.Massive turnaround needed in the 2nd half for them to survive. :(

There wasn't a massive turnaround in the 2nd half and we relegated... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Don't want to write much about that match but I never had the opinion that the players knew what this match is all about...the played like it was a friendly in some parts...

We had some good chances but weren't able to get the ball in from 2 meters...

Our so-called trainer contributed to that end as he just substituted once (Vittek for Mintal)...Imo you have to bring in every offense player you have when you are 1:0 behind in such a match...

We lost 2:0 at the end...Bielefeld just drawed.

Spiro was on the bench, Meggsy not in the squad.

Tbh, I hope that this guy we now have as trainer won't be our coach next season...

I am sorry dibo that you just will see a Bundesliga 2 match...
