Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Midfield got shit whipped.

Rose bud looked good for first 15m then didn't notice him much again. He needs to take defenders on, but does have good control and spin move but lots of work to do.

Mickey trying hard but not working. Over 90m he just not good enough to get it done. Especially with Monty and Rose being the sort of midfielders they are. Time to try McDonald.

Pop's out of whole, fires an Izzo comment and ducks for cover

First goal wasn't Izzo's fault (can't believe I typed that). There was a tiny gap about half a body between Posco and I'm not sure who (poscos left). Posco doesn't jump and other player does. Ball goes through the gap and into bottom corner.

IMO was walls fault and a cracking strike.

I'm not big on Izzo so not easy to say that.

Wasn't a free kick but we all know that.

With Izzo you can't give any fouls at top of the box in range. We gave them at least 4 chances. Always going to concede.

2nd goal offside aside Izzo should have done better, went straight over him.

Alright back in my whole till it's safe then I'll wash my glasses

Start of the year we were cavaliers getting caught with our pants down 3-1 a lot

Now boring and predictable and same results.

How to scout the Mariners
They will either go left wing to Austin or right wing to Fab. Stop that they will just kick it back to us..
If we can't win a corner give them a goal kick. Izzo will just kick it out

Hey Izzo, time to go to spec savers.

The little yellow men inside the white lines are the ones to kick it to mot the yellow ones in the stands.

Guy yelling kick in the middle has a point. If he goes middle he might find the players on the wings.

How good was Izzo's rollout to Monty at the top of the box in the first half:headbutt:

Was so close to making it easier to pick Bray.

What we're doing McGing let them score, it was for the benefit of the whole coast if he got dropped for that

Why is Bray getting hurt in training all the time. All he needs to do is be fit and he's in the team.

Does Izzo hurt him every week to keep his spot

Why, all different issues that can be discussed separately if people want to.

Didn't know there was a time limit to discuss a game. Shut the thread if there's a time limit.

Good post.

With the smallest fan base, the poorest owners, and squeezed between three other large clubs we are always going to do it tough and have some very lean years.

This club will always have to punch above its weight and use a different strategy to SFC, Victory and the others who can spend their way to the top.

The strategy that has been put in place is correct both in terms of survival and future success.

If people on this forum cannot see this, and are not prepared to be patient through the tough times, but would rather throw shit and feast on goo, then they are supporting the wrong team.

How long to we have to be patient? Last year was terrible, and we're heading for the spoon this year...

As I've posted before most fans have been remarkably patient this year, but that patience is (rightly I believe) starting to run out.

If the situation isn't good enough it needs to be called out. Tactics are non existent, players are in the wrong position, and the team is losing confidence.

We can add all the attacking players we like but until the defence is sorted out nothing will change.

No time limit and personally I don't see the difference between one long post and a dozen small posts in a row. If I ever get time I'd love to play with the formatting to simplify it down a bit, make it not as noticeable if someone goes on a run of posts...

Surely you'd agree that 9 posts in a row is ridiculous?

EDIT - I have a different view on this to @adz - clearly there are a variety of views.

I really don't know what people are expecting - that we'll sign a new manager and suddenly there'll be some tactical shift that eliminates mistakes and starts us winning games.

It's a commonly used argument from the club and on this forum that we have a young team and 'they will learn from this' and become stronger in the future. My concern is what will they learn?

In the past we supported youth, and had high quality, experienced players around them in mentoring roles. Those juniors did learn, they learnt what it took to be a professional footballer, and they learnt how to WIN.

I'm concerned that this generation coming through are missing the experience around them to learn the trade properly, and with results this year, they are not learning what it takes to win games consistently, and play week to week with consistency. With lineups changing and lads playing out of position, it is concerning for the future.

A saying I read recently in relation to long distance running was 'if you train slow, it's all you'll know'. I'm worried these boys will become accustomed to playing adequately, and not exceptionally.

I was beginning to think I was the only one that didn`t blame IZZO for the first goal

No why is it ridiculous?

If you post a massive rant some points get lost, you may agree with some and not others. They are all related to the thread so what's the harm?

Either make a comment to agree or disagree or move on.

Also can't all be here straight after a game or the next day so for you to get bitchy for it being two days after the game is Ridiculous!

Tell me why 9 posts on opinions on the game are Ridiculous and I'll consider one long post just for you.

The player to Posco's left was not part of the wall he came in just before the kick was taken.

The wall was defending the left hand side of the goal, Izzo was covering the right.

The ball went in the right.

Poorly set wall, poor keeping for his side of the goal.

Definitely Izzo's fault. No idea constructing a wall.

I somewhat agree, it was 100% Izzo's fault. He had his wall set correct, the point where he got it all wrong was he didn't cover his side of the goal, he stood behind the wall thinking they will clip it over for the top left instead of trusting the wall to do its job.

Because when you have 9 posts in a row, it utterly dominates the page. Each post has a header and footer and it takes up a heap of space compared to there being a line break between sections.

It also makes it much harder for someone replying to a post *before* yours to go back and find the post they're looking for.

There's also the simple fact that giving running commentary on a game is something you do at the same time as others and it's interactive. Running commented on a replay isn't interactive because we're not watching what you're watching.

And the kicker is this - with one longer post I'd probably skim it. 9 in a row giving blow by blow of a game I've already watched and I'm scrolling straight past.

Let the man post how he wants. It's no big deal.

I'm expecting to see the promised improvement. For mine we go further backwards each week.
