I cant help thinking Brexit is the greatest thing to happen to Britain in decades. I actually believe it will be the catalyst for other Euro countries to stop bending over for the Euro and start looking after themselves and their people again.

I cant help thinking Brexit is the greatest thing to happen to Britain in decades. I actually believe it will be the catalyst for other Euro countries to stop bending over for the Euro and start looking after themselves and their people again.

Brexit won't and already isn't ending well for Britain. They have to pay the EU a huge amount and the No campaign blatantly lied throughout. Britain never lost anything being in the Euro and gained huge EU grants and trade benefits, they had full control of their economy and everything that goes with it. They never lost their sovereignty and if they wanted more secured borders they could have had them with the EU passing resolutions! They took back nothing except a giant debt and an incompetent government. They've stuffed themselves for generations and won't be able to fund themselves as already all their financial institutions are leaving. Do you think other Europeans will be happy to trade with them and that Britain will have a stronger negotiating hand? The whole reason the EU was created was to give European nations a stronger say and voice economically, all Brexit leads to is Britain getting pushed around by China, the US and other nations while being poorer because of worse access to European trade. Britain still has to trade with Europe, the overwhelming majority of their trade comes from Europe, and throwing up barriers and having a hissy fit won't endear them to other European leaders.

That's insane and shows how even the easiest of drilling projects can go awry, crazy that BP want to drill for oil in the middle of the Bass Strait which has some of the most powerful currents in the world.
