The last waltz concert with the band ... some say and many argue the best concert movie ever made... for those that don't know...The Band ... were a group and also Bob Dylan's backing band.... but they were very skillful and backed many groups and wrote a lot of stuff that others recorded... in 1976 the had there last show and many of the top artists of the day came and played ... they made a movie about it ... if you love music it is very good...

SUNDAY 8TH MAY is the birthday of Robert Johnson,the king of the delta blues. todays blues owes so much to this man,i think every blues lover should dig out some of his music and dedicate a few hours to his memory. if you dont have any of his recordings,try some of the many covers from clapton,rolling stones,early fleetwood mac,keb mo,john mayall,canned heat,led zeppelin,white stripes,johnny winter, even ben harper,tedeschi-trucks,lucinda williams,bob dylan and government mule have covered his songs.

The Blues Brothers covered some of his work in the movie the Blues Brothers...

Rock may have been born in the mid 50's & early 60's ... but many sat this guy was the guy that got the lady pregnant that started what we listen to today ... largely unknown in his own time and died young ...
