ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Thought last night was a good step forward for the lads performance wise, unfortunately 3 points missed, but they were great after the first 30 odd minutes. I didn’t think we were rank before that either tbh. Just thought we were trying to play to a certain game plan that wasn’t quite clicking then when we went down the lads realised the game could pass them by and kicked into gear.

Putting DPC’s wall placement error down to a “apprentice mistake”, they’ll happen. I thought the backline was solid, whilst I thought Brian could’ve done better for their first goal he was a lot better overall. Eames was solid again, theo worked his socks off, big Eddy was brilliant leading the line it’s his spot to lose now, so unlucky not to have 2 goals. Subs were mostly good if nothing but the energy they brought into the game. Kuzi’s back in favour slowly. Faisal looks very promising imo, he was the exact type of player we needed, a pacey winger who constantly runs at defenders and gets balls into the box. He needs to be encouraged to do so everytime.

Another thing to note is not only do we have an ‘apprentice’ goalkeeper, but an apprentice goalkeeping coach. There is a big learning curve between ‘being’ a very good experienced keeper and becoming a teacher and manager to another group of players, especially all being so young.

If only he'd stop standing on the ball for 30 seconds and let the opposition get set
I would rather see him stand on the ball than hit a hopeful pass to someone not clear and give the ball away. When he does it the opposition already has their entire team behind the ball. It is not like a turnover in midfield when you can catch the opposition out of position.
