ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Does anyone else remember the fans forums in 2013. At one of them either Charlesworth or Turnbull said there was a plan for the club and they knew who would be managing the club
for the next 7 years.
Papas really doesn't look to have the experience needed. It would be a huge gamble.442 reporting Arthur Papas and Mulvery as possibilities

News reporting a world wide search that will take quite a while
and that """ Walmsley is not a candidate for the role long-term, he has made clear that as the club’s new technical director he expects to have significant input into both the choice of coach and which of the existing squad are offered deals for next season.""""
Interesting article by Fossie talking about A-League coaching.
" .. A-League clubs have been inserting three-month termination clauses into coaching contracts, a discussion again brought to light following Central Coast's sacking of Phil Moss. .. "
" .. The arrival of Peter Storrie at the Mariners is potentially problematic – in England, the approach is to spend extraordinary amounts of money and import almost all Premier League head coaches, producing very few of their own. .. "
Some good common sense here: http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/...oaching-a-worrying-trend-20150307-13xv1c.html
how much credit Cernack deserves can be seen on the turn around in this forum. I think most here would heartily endorse a new contract - a year ago and some were calling him Isuckatsoccah.
happy for the guy, and looking forward to good things from him for the team too
To early to speculate right now let the dust settle our club doesn't need a knee jerk reaction for a coach .We need a coach with genuine ability and intent with a foreseeable future. Let's not forget Brisbane has turned it around at the moment.
Ah Fozzie! The approach in England is not to appoint Premier League coaches because quite simply football in England, believe it or not, is vastly more than just the EPL. There are some very good coaches in the lower leagues; young, modern, progressive coaches. It would be interesting to see one of those coaches in a league without relegation.Almost nothing Fossie writes is interesting IMHO. He is a complete flog and has always been critical of us.
Brisbane were lucky to get the 3 points against the drive bys on the weekend.
I'm tipping the Mariners with Warmsley in charge would have at least got a draw a couple of weeks ago.
Brisbane are average under the old Dutchy and are struggling to make the 6. They would have got more points under Mulvey IMHO.
