ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

What improvements do we want in Hal 4

Not sure about the Police bit - the over reaction and heavy handed behaviour at the KB was stupid and unwarranted (geddit).

When asked what their problem was, they had no real answers and fell back on "we were told too"

1. The Marinators (The Crew/ Bay?) grow bigger and louder than they already are.

2. Newcastle finish bottom two.

3. We beat the Scum every time, with no possible way for them to blame the ref on a loss.

4. Mariners do the double.

just with the whole Sunday game thing - the club actually gives the FFA their preferred game times in order eg - Sat N, Frid N, Sun, Sat Arvo and the FFA "tries" to take this into consideration. I would assume that the CCM board have requested sunday as their main game day due to the amount of games that were on sunday (i persoanlly like it cause then i can go to syd games and mariners games on the weekends).

but my actual wish list -

1. better referees
2. mark sheild to be "erased"
3. melbourne to play all home matches behind closed doors so the media can't make up stories of "sokkah riots"
4. no rugby to be played on GF pitches before the GF
5. ste SCSGT to stop relaying the SFS pitch over christmas
6. queensland hire a new kit boy so that they actually bring the right one to away games

Get rid of the stupid bloody Belkin Kiss s**t! If I wanted to watch a couple of idiots play tonsil hockey I'd hang out at a club not be watching the football.

1. import some pommy refs or make our refs full time professionals
2. NO SUNDAY GAMES
3. under 21 or / and womens openers
4. Harper, Foster and Slater down to centrelink ASAP
5. clone simon hill
6. some free to air HAL show of some kind ( not on SBS preferably)
7. make sure the 3 games against QLD teams run consectutively so i can take annual leave

i) Definitely no Sunday games, pathetic crowds, annoying sun in your eyes, poorer play due to heat and no way to celebrate after a good game, enter Saturday night games...
ii) Half hour Highlights package on free to air every Sunday night, featuring goals, round ups, player of the week, goal of the week and ladder, stats updates, keep the public interested!
iii) Two new teams, the excitement has probably peaked within the A-league this far, not much else can happen except for some exciting new marquee signings, considering Aloisi is Sydneys new Marquee and he is just old news and Melbourne has Archie that basically leaves us as the only one to look at for an exciting marquee, thus failing that the new teams should create enough buzz to bring more fans in
iv) Pioneer the way of video refereeing, BUT only for calls that occur in the box, i know they argue it breaks up the flow of the game but thats bullshit, if a player goes down in the box, send it immediately to the Video Ref, if its legitimate give them a penalty, if not, give the player a Yellow for diving, i promise you it will eliminate diving in the box within weeks and remove any upset fans who feel robbed of a penalty from losing passion out of frustration
v) More to come...

but all stadiums are opened 2hrs before the game, isnt BTS?

Was a couple of disastrous games where they tried only opening an hour before. It was even bucketing at one such, and the crowd at the locked gate were bloody mutinous!

Hahahaha, in Thailand before the Aust./Thailand game the gates were scheduled to open 2 hours before kickoff, but with about 2 and a half hours to go, the unholiest of epic monsoons arrived out of semi-nowhere (you could see the clouds coming for a bit), and 45 000 people stormed the gate to get inside out of the wet.  The military guards and police did the best they could, but that was certainly fun for a while.  After a minute they thought "f*ck this" and made it so that Visual ID of your ticket was the only thing required, and got rid of the temporary fences around the gate.

Funniest thing was the crowd was at no stage "mutinous" - every single person there was laughing and singing and all the rest of it....... even _funnier_ thing was the realisation that SE Asian's HATE getting wet from rain - even though they live in it for half the year.  Crazy Thai's.

Oh yeah - NO SUNDAY GAMES ON THE COAST!!!!!  Leave them for Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

Keep the match coverage going for about half an hour after the game to get the commentators views on the game and the managers opinions.
