ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yeah intentional hand ball with Grant already on a yellow.

Doesn’t matter if 1 second into the game or 1 second from the finish, the referee missed it or chose not to worry due to the time left but really should be reprimanded for ignoring the rules.

Doesn’t affect us! Thank f**k.

But Western United who they play next week should be a bit dirty.

Impressions from the game.
Massive enthusiasm from the get go. Loved it.
Good to see Jacko moving Doka to second striker it was needed and made a massive difference to our attack.
Many probably did not notice but in the second half he had Doka playing in attack in an AM position until Eames came on.
I loved the way they then packed the right hand side of the field in attack which led to our second goal. Looked awesome.
Looks like we still need a lot of work playing out from the back.
Disappointing crowd for a SFC game.
Needed more experience holding the ball and wrapping up the last 10 minutes.
As usual CCM v SFC games are never dull.
First impressions, will check the replay.

It also came on the back of the first half when we were needlessly yellow carded, sometimes for tackles that weren't even fouls. And the Smurfs were fouling us constantly and not getting sanctioned at all. Shocking refereeing.

Two top headers from Alou.Glad to see him attacking the ball.Paull did some great tackles in the first half particularly and in my estimation his best game for us.

Theoharous did play his heart out and didn't shirk his defensive duties.Feijao made one darting run into the box leaving two defenders stranded. It reminded me of a Tulio move.

Doka does the work of two men though he should have scored in the first half and his free kicks were substandard. However he is always willing to receive the ball in tight spaces and battles so hard to win and retain possession.Eames looks so confident on the ball and great to see him getting game time.

Some excellent and confident keeping from DPC.This is so good as the defenders will be more trusting in him.

For Sydney Caceres was outstanding-all their dangerous play in the second half came through him.Lolley was well marshalled by our defenders.

Obviously the first half red card helped our cause but at that stage we still had to score so credit to the team.

The second goal was solid.
Kuol did move!

The first goal he actually was stagnant as usual then actually moved backwards to get his head onto it.
Was it a good goal, yes.

But I can still see why we will never get those consistently as 98% of the rest of the game when our midfield and wide backs are walking or driving the ball forward our front 1/2/3 and especially Kuol are literally walking in a straight line.

I’m grateful for the win but if you watch our off the ball movement from our front 3, it’s literally stagnant.
At times we had 4/5 players standing in a straight line in parallel with their back line and none of them moving looking for a diagonal or moving for the ball.

However heaps of positives:
* Theo was really good with his fight and skill
* Eames was safe and a bit silky
* Paul was strong
* Mauragis was hounding
* Alfie worked hard and was much more effective
* Steele did a lot of work off the ball
* Kaltak and Paul defensive headers were good
* Doka was on and off but can home very strong
* And Kuz was strong and worked hard

Faijao still the main one that has a spark but just is too risky unless dominating the game or already up by 2.

If we can now keep this formation going with Kuz and Mauragis wide and Storm there to support Kaltak I think we have a good chance at getting through to January and becoming stronger and stronger with return of Trent, Piz, Lima and Durate with other teams possibly going the other way.

Onwards and upwards.
