ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Tianjin Teda against Mariners

As far as I'm concerned, this is really a pre-season friendly and I will view the outcome as such.

With Kwas and Caceres up front and a few players knowing they are out after the game, the potential is there for a pretty ordinary performance TBH.

Will be there but have to admit, enthusiasm level is approaching zero.

Expect about 4k max - less if it rains

Starting 11 for tomorrow:

Danny
Clarky - Boogs - Wilko - Heff
Elrich - Pedj - Ossie - Hutch
Carceras - Kwas

Pedj to play the holding midfield role.

God that's a woeful selection.

No Porter, no Gumps.... Hutch in the starting lineup. Osman too. Lewis not getting the start he was angling for. Where's Huke? Not oo confident about Caceres upfront either - his best work seems to  be carving through the field, not his final touch.

Stadium management are aware that we are moving bays for tomorrows game. Bay 2 will still be a non alcoholic bay for this game. Pending the outcome of this "trial" move, we may look to make the move permanent for v5 of the a-league, and obviously then we would re address the non alcohol situation with stadium management and ccmfc.

Elrich needs a start to gain some fitness so happy with that even if he has been crap, why play Lewis from the start? Just give him 15 mins for experience at the end if the game warrants it.  I would expect Hutch and Osman to swap around, plus it's Osman's last game so he warrants a start IMO.

Kwas as lone striker and Caceres roaming in behind?

Maybe a more mobile front line compared to the 2 targets that we have employed to date might help.

I doubt it but it might

I wish that I could give a damn about this game but I cant muster the least bit of care. I expect that I am far from alone and the crowd at this game will, sadly, be dire. Club management only have themselves to blame for this.  :redcard:

You know what, I may be in minority but I can't wait for tomorrow. It's fecking continental football, The Mariners, a Coast team. We've hardly been disgraced, yeah there was one shit house result but we've been leading in 2 of our games away from home. Suck it up princesses so our team isn't the best in Asia, it is still our team so pull on the yellow and blue and show that we actually take pride in what our team does.

I don't agree with that.

We've got a perfect chance in a dead rubber to experiment for next season and we're playing a player who's out of here as soon as it's finished  ???

And wtf was the point in signing Rizzo and then not giving him a proper chance ?

Lawrie's lost the plot imo.

We should be trying our unknowns..put them on the park with the ones who are performing...so not much of the regular squad, and give them a run..cut their teeth against some solid opposition.

F*ck it, throw Tobin on.  Better than Wilko at least.....

Arab is right - why are we catering to sentimentality??  Osman _should_ have been in the team from the start at Right-Back anyway, but why give him a token start now at LCM/CM??  No Rizzo??  Hutchinson on the wing, let alone ON THE PARK??  Why isn't Redmayne getting a run??  Why not try an alternate captain, when it's painfully clear that the current one isn't cut out for it??

This has gone beyond stupidity and into clear insanity.  I might be there to have fun tomorrow night, but I hope we get towelled again so the Board wakes up to itself and starts actually acting like it runs a football club.
