ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

All valid points raised so far by everyone. I think a key thing that's been mentioned that l agree 100% with is just better and clearer communication between office and supporters. I've heard from various different people that just contacting the club recently via phone or email has been a nightmare and things have been disjointed. That quite frankly, is not good enough at all for a professional sporting club.

Looking at the office from outside in, it seems to be in desperate need of stabilisation after recent departures and l agree that different people should be brought in who are experts, and have a successful track record in marketing, social media and customer relations to improve our processes. Having staff who are fans of the club and passionate really helps the cause too. But of course, this is easy to say as these things cost $$$.

Lastly, game days can be drastically improved for sure. What I'd love to see is a designated pre game area for supporters like what used to be done at the bowls club. Maybe Bay Rd could be utilised? Every home game, players who are in the squad and not playing that day can come through and talk to the fans, get asked questions etc. Have drink and food specials too to get people in. Feel like this is something that is achievable and is always welcomed by supporters.
Totally agree and even the post game functions from yeeeeeeears ago in the bowls club where they’d only let a couple hundred in and you could drink and eat with the players and staff. Can’t even remember if that went on for long but it was brilliant.

Hey all,

Sorry for the late update! The meeting went well, but there’s not a whole lot to report just yet. We raised the key concerns around communication, stadium management, and merch supply issues. Mike was only available briefly, but we’ll be catching up with him in person soon to go into more detail.

There’s no major news on the playing group - Simmo said everything is fine, and there are no dramas, but wouldn't expect him to say otherwise! I didn’t push for more info on injury updates this time, but it’s something we can follow up on.

The main focus of this meeting was improving communication between fans and the club. There’s no magic fix for everything overnight, and nothing concrete came out of it just yet, but it’s a step in the right direction. The club is open to working with us, so hopefully, we can build on this moving forward.

Minutes will be available when they’re ready, and I’ll be gathering more feedback through forum discussions, surveys, and polls as we go.

My mail is that Mike wants to keep the club now! Sounds like he is invested, now we just need him to "invest" in a couple of new players.
I think Mike has always wanted to keep the club. But after having to invest money to finish what Gorman and Turnbull started he needed to sell the revenue raising infrastructure at Tuggerah to pay off the clubs debts. I don't think he has the money to fund future infrastructure development on his own but if he can find like minded partners I think he would be keen to stay.

Of course if someone offered stupid money then all bets are off.

Most of people who offer stupid money would likely pack us up and move us something that mike or apl wouldn't allow

Two seasons ago, players were beating down the door to come to us. I get we are broke but seriously concerning if we can’t even get players on a free, or some swap deals.
Or maybe we’re being extremely precise on who we chase mid season.
