We were tipped to come last by many 'professionals' and 'experts'
Sydney, tipped to come first.
Something happened that night, I dunno what it was but we played out of our skin. Won 1-0. Went on to win the minor premiership and play in the Grand Final.

We go into this season in the same predicament.

Let's hope Doig and McGlinchey does well tonight. There are doubts as to whether Melbourne's defence will hold up as well this season- then again I can see plenty of high-scoring games this time round...

They just had a short feature on the heritage of Merrick and McKinna. And though it isn't mentioned, I think not too many will be aware of McKinna's playing career, including the time Blacktown City were briefly in the NSL.
