ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Sydney to host the Grand Final next 3 years

At a bare minimum points wise I would have just cancelled the match with no points awarded. While Victory were the main offenders City were the hosts and responsible for security.
I dont see what City could have done to prevent that. Security stuffed up by focusing too much on the expected exit as did the police but that's outside of City's control by that point. It would be unreasonable to deny them of the chance to take those 3 points. And should we manage to reel them in (a big ask for anyone at this point) I dont want an * beside our first place finish.

It would be harsh to hold them accountable as hosts but it would be a below the radar way of punishing them for the fact that the recklessness of one of their players was a contributory factor

Apparently it was all over social media that the pitch invasion was happening. Seemed to be a very small presence to stop it (or to not stop it).

I didn't consider the * because I don't think anyone will catch them or get close. On our day I'm sure we can beat them but they are too clinical week to week.

I agree. They're too consistent at the moment but who knows what the season holds. A bust up with a coach since PK left, Jmac injury or a bunch of things could bring them back to earth.

I dont know about all over it especially in advance, maybe in their own private groups or chats or hidden through obscurity but its not the host's job to play detective for each away side. More likely in the aftermath people went digging and paid a lot more heed to a rogue bunch that could have been talking crap at the time.

Would you be ok with us getting stung a few hundred grand if some jets or wanderers fans went feral and expect Shaun and Co to have known it was coming?

Completely and utterly disappointed in the sanctions from FA. Should of had a significant points deduction at the very least, and frankly deserved to play the rest of their home games behind closed doors.

This won't deter anyone, and Football Australia seem completely ignorant of the fact that this is in no way an isolated incident for Victory.

This verdict is and should be about ongoing behaviour management as much as it is about repercussions.
I would say that this neglects even beginning to address the ongoing behaviour management side of things almost totally.
