ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yes this is exactly what I saw on the replay and had no idea what the (biased all game) "commentators" were going on about. They were baying for blood despite the replay showing that the studs weren't up. And Rogic actually had the ball leading in to it as well.

Ref had a yellow out and seemed to change it on the report of the linesman. He won't care if it's incorrect as he is now covered.

Rogic was hacked 8 times by the same guy, four of which happened after he received a yellow. Disgraceful, but we've become so used to it now that it's just the norm....

Agree that we fell to their level and need to keep control of possesion again. NYE will be tough but we've all been saying what a great squad we have. Let's hope the hunger is back.
What the photo does not show is how high Rogic's foot was before it hit the ground - studs were up.

Let's try another tack in this post mortem.why didn't arnie switch rogic and mcglincey or macbreen with rogic as this would have changed their defensive plan

Watched the game again. Just some observations. Shoot me down if I'm wrong.

With no Pat to mind the young ones in the back, Rose made shorter runs before turning the ball back into the centre around half way.
This meant that Rojic had to start his run further back which turned into route one football through a very compact defense.

With no Pedj the deep wide runs from the wing backs were pretty much non existent therefore no one to draw the defense wide, giving Rojic, McBreen and Bernie some gaps to play through to receive a cross. Only once, Duke went wide and deep, crossing a great ball to Rojic's feet and we know what happened there!

I think we had very few options created due to a few key play makers either absent or preoccupied covering for those absent. The end result a route one blood bath which is not how we normally play. The occasional switch out to Morton and WeeMac didn't have the same effect as Pedj and Rose flying up the flanks and crossing to a box full of forwards.

Probably due to frustration, Rojic's heavy touch before the incident put him in that awful situation.

I think your bang on about our wingplay. Rosie had a shocker to be honest. As did, Weemac, Hutch, and Monty by his standards. That's 3 of our 5 mids, and our left flank under par. Add a debutante at RB, who did really well, but Pedj is massive down that right side. Dutchy out, Sydney hacking and arriving late...

Just not a good day t the office. Yet despite this, we still created the more chances looked the better team I thought.

Just got back from Darwin and only saw some snippets of the game so thanks for the reports.

I saw possibly the worst free kick ever from WeeMac and a great run up the wing from Tesco...but that was about it.

We looked poor from the 10 mins I caught.
