ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I was in the tunnel after the game and did see the 3 investors with Turnbull so at least we know something is trying to be done...

I think the sticking point in all these invetment talks may be Turnballs desire to remain in charge. Its hard to get someone to fork out major cash for you to play with.

Absolutely. Until that signature is on the paper it don't mean jack. Does anyone know why we have failed to land any of these investors?

My guess is because the team CCM & the COE, are two seperate vehicles, with I assume different ownership percentages... whereas most investments in a sporting team loose money, the COE will make money and already has a lot of community and government funding ... the 10 million from the commonwealth, and early on it was suggested that Wyong council gave 10 acres of land and what the RSL gave or did not give...

If anyone knows how the COE has been put together please post as I would love to know...

As a buyer coming in to an organistation in trouble with a excellent asset .... seems to me what happens to the COE ... is the sticking point....

and perhaps the fact that the COE is a major asset which as a developer Turnball does not want to lose. The question is can he sustain his position if he has any until such time as it is pulling in the cash. I would like to think so but I can't see it happening. what is the timeframe for completion and will they be receiving revenue from the Soccer5's set up?

We can expect an article on the 15th to read something like "a deal is close, it's looking positive, we'll have a response within the next few days" and then wait for the next update in February
