ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm not sure what I'm dreading more. Returning to work on Tuesday, or trying to find some pub that isn't dedicating all their televisions to replaying the aussie rules U/12 girls round 2 games from 1974....

It's my birthday the day after so those bastards better damn well bring me a birthday pressie!!!!

Just wanted to mention that I'm damn excited because I will at long last be taking all my family and as many friends as I can manage into active support. My father is in his sixties, and has had both hips replaced, but wants to stand with the Yellow army for this game to help fight back against the black and red hordes.

Seriously, it's going to be full on. The most intimidating grand final crowd any team in the HAL has faced up too. Would you want to win our GF any other way?

A request to PP and crew, if you could skew a little of the volume of chants towards the more simple, upbeat chants you guys do, i'm sure it will be a big help to all the other blow ins and CCM supporters on the day in getting behind you. Awesome job too today btw.

Best

FP

EDIT:

Two tickets per member really makes life hard when you have a group of non member friends you've convinced to go.

Presale lets you get two per member, I thought it was 4 in previous years? Have I remembered wrongly?

Active support isn't allocated is it? Hope not, or that means A, I will have to travel in to ticketek tyomorrow and B, it will stop me from being able to persuade more people to come along this week too.

Funny/tragic how on Ticketek, there's an "RBB active area" And just - "Mariners supporter bays" I mean we do have a pretty legitimate history of active support whatever any snide bastards might say.

Not at all - it was a stupid, dangerous tackle. You don't get to go in like that just because there's a few minutes left - Monty already had his warning; that was his first card. Only one person to blame for that - we probably should have picked up a few more in the first half.

If he had just spoken to him instead then he would have lost the respect of the Victory players for not protecting them, not having the balls to take discipline on a dangerous tackle or being weak just because the game is nearly over.
I don`t think he would have.
I`ve seen far worse tackles escape without even a mention.
We need more Boyd McGregor type referees...

Still seething about Montgomery getting sent off!
No wonder players & fans have no respect for referees. A good referee would have have spoken to Monty along the lines of "two minutes to go don`t be silly or you`ll be missing next weeks game", thus winning the respect of the players. Instead he sends him off & earns the ire of every decent fan, player & anyone else..
FFS it was only Milligan.....! I`ve never rated him any higher than a grub anyway.
with hershy being sent off .wank stick had no choice

Heh, talking about what other referees have missed doesn't mean much :p late, studs up, on the ankle. You can normally expect those to be yellows - even if we did a few in the first half that weren't ;-)

Doesn't matter now anyway, he made the tackles and he'll pay the price

The crowd tonight was 2nd only to the Wests game.
Everyone got into it.
There was a group at the back of bay46 that got a two clap Mariner`s going & after a few chants it developed into a 3 clap. Absolutely brilliant!

Also kudos to PP & the YA they picked up on a few chants eminating from the western stand that developed into the whole crowd getting going.
