ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Bring back the Breakers.

They weren't the richest Club in the world, but they were a community club who's officials and owners always had time for the fans.

well if only you knew mate. We have regluar meetings with club officials, coaching staff and players to discuss issues and whatever. so would try to do some research first.

And your point is?

Breakers & Mariners = Community clubs
Jets = Everyone knows it's Con Casino's play thing.

A couple of token meetings for show does not a community club make.

To try and put the Jets in the same league in terms of community involvement as the Mariners is a total joke.

Maybe Con Casino has improved his public relations a little, but the way he treated the Breakers fans was shameful.

Agree fully, I had the pleasure of seeing what a professional he was on and off the pitch when i was the 1st Grade Team Manager of Central Coast United in their last year of NSW Prem Lge. Coach was former socceroo Grant Lee and he persuaded Troy to play, excellent midfielder/leader on the pitch.

Yeah like the way he snapped Falzo's leg at training, just because the young bloke out played him.
Brought his own team mate down from behind.....true professional...NOT!

 :piralaugh:

So Con told some people from the squadron that they were nobodies. Classy way to treat your CORE FAN BASE !!!
What a genius. Does anyone think there may be a small migration of these no-bodies to support other clubs?

As a Fulham fan, we had to put up with Ernie Clay as he tried to sell the ground frmo under us.

We kept going and I suggest that the real scum supporters will too.

However, if I was in CCM marketing, I might fancy a push a bit deeper into their territory to snag a few "glory hunters"

Karma!

I stress again, bring back the Breakers. There was a club that knew what being a community club was all about. They may not have had Con's dollars, but they would never have treated supporters that way. Although, there was no way that the Rowdies vocal supporters group would have made such an immature 'protest' either. At times when the Breakers were bottom of the table, and that was often in the 'Kosmina Years', that was when the Rowdies sang their support the loudest.

was also the time we were telling directors what we really thought of kossie after getting on the piss with them

my mate and i always joke we were responsible for kossie getting the shaft a week after we let a couple directors know what we thought of the coach after the australia v iran game in melbourne

i was obviously very angry after the game and these poor guys took the brunt of our pain
