ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Doesn't look like the arabs have been successful in getting an early release for our new keeper........I hope Banks doesn't pick up an injury between now and January.

gordan banks?

you really do need a back-up for him!

This is the first time I've spotted this thread, so I thought I'd have a browse. I know absolutely SFA about Scottish football (not 100% true, but near enough), except the names of the clubs. I support Celtic purely because I like the name.
I found out how serious the rivalry with Rangers is when I was a teenager (long time ago) and knew even less than I do now. I was in the car with a friend of my Uncle, he was a Glaswegian and loved to talk about Rangers. In my innocence I commented that I liked Celtic......then wondered what the hell I'd done when he slammed the anchors on & ordered me out of the car!!!
I thought at first he was joking....his wife was trying to calm him down, saying "he doesn't understand Jim, don't carry on", he eventually accepted my plea that I didn't really understand, it was just the name. I decided right then I'd better find out what all the fuss was about, which I did, but we never ever discussed football again!
It was the first time I realised that football's not just a matter of life or death....

Spike, don't feel bad .... met the other half's family, all born and bred in Glasgow, for the first time one NYE many moons ago. They lived almost directly opposite Ibrox stadium. I gushed ... "how wonderful to live so near to your team's home ground!"  (Who else but diehard Rangers' supporters would live there?) ... mmm ... wrong!  the NYE didn't start off well! LOL.. even had to make my own bacon rolls the next morning. After about two years they got over it, but the ribbing still persists! The family's motto is "Celtic supporters ......... you are either for 'em, or agin 'em"  ....  :piano:

it happens, one of the big Loyalist Rangers areas in Glasgow and home of the orange order in scotland: Bridgeton is adjacent to the suburb of Parkhead and is only 800 odd metres away from the stadium, so im guessing there is quite a lot of them that like in sight of Celtic Park. But the key is keep your mouth shut and dont wear colours around people that it may offend :p

Anbody on the forum own up to being a Rangers supporter? Or Jambo? ... just curious

Been away from this forum for a bit and I see the gibberish has started already with most tipping the todgers in green and white to win the SPL. What shite! The mighty Gers to make it two in a row I reckon. And sorry Arab, but I feel it's a bit ambitious to tip your lot to finish third. Then again, they don't have the distraction of European football next season do they  ;)

Are you sure they didn't qualify? Most of the teams in the SPL qualified for Europe in some form. even the team that finished second bottom qualified for Europe!!! I'm very surprised if this is true, what a shame. Anybody know what happened - did they falter at the last hurdle?    8)
