FFS, Appiah. Do something useful. Dreadful attacking run there.

I seem to be saying that a lot this match. When was the last time he had his eyes checked? I mean, Brama's brilliant attacking run, he didn't even jump for it. He seems to genuinely have no idea where the ball is in relation to his body unless he's already got it at his feet.
KGJ disgustingly one-sided with his bookings today.

A good win, well deserved. Once again we were the better football team and it would have been a travesty if the Glory pinched an equalizer at the end. However we can't get carried away - Glory were without (arguably) their three best players, and the game may have been very different if we had to deal with Castro, Keogh and Taggart.

Nevertheless, it's a long time since we've been so high on the ladder.

We're still without Roux, Rose and Asdrubal. Not the top three players at the club but still significant outs.

As they say you can only play what's in front of you!

Yes a deserved win. I was hoping after last week we might have got a few shots on target.

Did anybody else notice that when Trent came on Ivan was yelling at DDS to get over the far side of the pitch?
I wouldn't mind seeing Powell get a run from the start next week if he's up to it.

Thoroughly deserved our win. Kubi did a lot of great work against a big aggressive Perth backline, and he has earned his starrtng 11 place, he's just not a striker. So while I know it's frustrating, I don't really think he deserves any stick at all, but...

Powell showed precisely why he's a striker and what they do. One real chance... right position, right time, goal. (I agree he should start if Ads is out) But DDS and his link play was something truly special on that goal. Hoole was exceptional again as well. Baro was excellent and McGing has a blinder and was very unlucky not to have a couple of assists. Young Rowles did very well until he looked dead on his feet made an error and was subbed in a very timely move. Was worried about Golec at LB, nervy at first but he did really well on balance. Connor I thought struggled a little but still linked well and caused a few headaches - he's really playing a consistent defensive role.

For mine our only real vulnerabilities was our failure to put them away. We moved the ball around beautifully. Some great raking balls form Baro, Hoole and Brama. Tommy and Wout just consistently do the right thing at the right time and keep our possession right up and limit our mistakes. Kennedy same. Just calmly did everything required.

People are going to say Perth were/are shit, players out etc... But their game plan was to press hard and be physical, which they did execute. (Hilarious that until 92 minutes they still hadn't had a yellow). But it didn't matter, we comfortably weathered all their efforts and just out passed and out footballed them again and again and again, all over the park.

We just need a bit more end product. But...you only need one.... so we did enough to get the win.

Well done all the team, Okon, coaching staff and club. Top 4 and it's deserved.

Great effort on the crowd too.

Awesome stuff. :overheadl:

De Silva is amazing great run to set up the goal and worked all day.
Powell was the one responsible for setting him up and showed that he knows how to play as a striker. Definitely must start next week with either Asdrubal or Trent coming on when he tires.
Appiah back to the wing where he is more effective, whether starting or from the bench.
Loved how we played 3 2 4 1 with McGing sitting up high. I think it shows how Paolo can adjust to different situations.
Disgusting bias in cards by KGJ, they hacked us with impunity all first half.
Not necessarily the prettiest game but you'll have to admit it's still
"getting better, getting better all the time"

Although I've always like Appiah he's just not up to the task PO is asking him to do.
We've already seen that unfortunately Bingers isn't up to the task either.
Hopefully Powell will be up for at least 60 minutes next week. He certainly deserves it.
I agree true believer. Storm won't come straight back in and neither will Rose.
Unless Rowles is injured again.

Ffs, I thought it was Tommy who finished it.
Great, Powell started the movement and finished with the goal. Must start next week.
Must watch the replay on tv. Embarrassing.

Tommy should have had a goal. If Hoole had slotted that ball to him.
Instead Hoole wanted to be the hero and ended up blasting it over the bar.

He didn't start it. Da Silva steals the ball, passes beautifully and gets a good ball back from Pain, then makes a terrific pass with the outside of his boot to Powell... Whose return ball is f**kING MINT... and then DDS finishes his run and gets a pass off between 3 players to Powells terrific run and he manages to finish with his left.

It's a fantatsic goal. And if it was Sydney Harper would have hosed down the screen. Best HAL goal I've seen in a while.

Scratchy win against a vastly understrength Glory. Good wily coaching by their gaffer, but great substitutions by Paolo got us home. That goal has to be contender for Goal of the Season. :overheadl::overheadl::overheadl::overheadl:

i felt the crowd was a little disappointing in size, especially with the family tickets.
Good to see them get a win up...the pass for that goal was sublime

Thanks FP.

I started to get excited with Blake's return ball. I definitely must watch what the tv picked up.
