ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Thanks for an awesome time, even though we lost we loved every minute of it. I just got an PM from one of you guys about the pub up here for the 5th. The place where most away fans go is displayed below. Well done on your win guys you deserved it.

Slightly different players IMHO

Travis is your typical english box to box midfielder but more AM than DM.

Wee Mac is your typical Scottish "inside forward" type player. Small, skillful, great vision and suits No10

Both have great engines too

+1

What these guys give us is essentially a midfield which can rotate around the diamond without anyone being out of place. Hutch Trav weemac and Pedj can all interchange with each other at certian times which makes it easier to retain shape in defence.

What impressed me most was the level of unspoken communication between them this early. Wherever there was a body needed, someone popped up. With Huke and Crowell to be added to this midfield i can only see it getting better once the competition for spots warms up.

I haven't really commented on the match. The only observation I will make is a personal one.

I was really grumpy after the Adelaide game and after the Brisbane game. Since Saturday I haven't stopped smiling. It's amazing how all-consuming this game can become.  :vhappy:

Every act of sheer stupidity brings his credibility one step closer to the abyss where it belongs.

Looking forward to fox fc tonight. Really want to hear what is said of the mariners, if anything. Most probably will focus on 'how shit GCU were'

While they said we were superb, they spoke for longer about Smeltz's second yellow card than our play. Dissapointing.

Only my second post on the forum, my first was at the dismay of the champions league. I'm back to make amends, because Lawrie got everything right. Going back to 2 up front allowed McGlinchy and Travis more freedom, with Pedj at HM.
I am also a fan of Hutchinson, despite the stck he recieves week in week out in the stands. His problems in the past have been the lack of support for HIS game, and again, MM and Travis complement his game very well. One of the best ive seen @ bluetonge, and i havent missed one of them.

COYY  V nix!!

they'll say the gold coast were unlucky

i don't think anyone could possibly say that

fozzie has just said on the world game that the top four looks about right except for the mariners
To give him a tiny bit of credit he did give them a wrap! He was impressed with Nicky Travis as were most.

How could Foz rate a Pommie????????  Dutch or Brazillian surely, but an Englishman???? What is he thinking.

Please please PLEEEEEEEEEASE play like this as often as possible from now on.  This was our single best performance since the 3-0 against Newcastle in the V3 semi's, and to see this more often would be nothing short of amazing.  ;D

similarly though we didnt win id put the 3-3 comeback last year as one of the best:D

Its what he does. If a team he hates wins and he can't completely ignore it, then he just picks a single player to rave about. Then he can avoid talking about the team and coach. As we don't have any Brazilians and he's already panned the rest of the squad pretty much, he has to choose a new member and I think he hates the English...  sligghhhhhtly less than the Scotts...
so Travis it is ;)
