Firstly. Staj won the battle with Milicic by a long shot.
Macathurs set up to overload a side and whip a cross in is pretty poor. Jolic must have more influence then you’d think with sticking to plan A and no other option. Mariners knew this and there was very little danger to us from this tactic, Tongyik and Rowles were positioned well and dealt with everything.
Counter against okon/Milicic ball worked an absolute treat.
Enjoy guys this was a great day, haven’t cheered so hard with hope on many years.

Gritty performance and everyone did their job.Hard to pick MOTM but Bozanic just pips Tongyik and Stensness for his leadership.He has that bit of mongrel too which we need.Great run by DDS to get to Nizzie's excellent cutback-hope that gives him confidence to utilise his undoubted gifts which up to now have not really been realised.

Macarthur looked slow and their CB s though big are slow to turn and Stajic knew this so had our team use the long ball,often to good affect.Genreau was very good for them as was Franjic.

Tongyik and Rowles must have been drinking whatever Birighitti is drinking.
They've been brilliant. Probably having Oli there controlling things have helped, but even so.

Olli’s leadership and talk is massive and seems to suit Stens a lot better. It’s allowing Stens to be the physical presence to break up play and not have to worry to much about getting the team flowing in attack.

Clisby was targeted by them but overall had a good game.He will never be the best FB in the league but improved post Covid break last season and has continued this form.He is better when not having to venture too far upfield and getting caught out of position.

Bouman looks a good pick up.It will be interesting when the three visa players are available.

The massive jump in output from the guys who've been retained is enormous. The new guys have finally added depth. How on earth do you fit the 3 visa guys in?! Simon and clisby out but do you dare to drop a midfielder?!

Yes, after two matches I can see Olly being the unsung hero of the squad this year.
He was brilliant the other night v Newcastle. Yet everyone was talking about Nizzy and Birra being MOTM.
