People forgetting its a long weekend.

Holiday homes to be visited, Crowne plaza to be busy.

The WSW will be in big numbers IMO as I believe this to be a targeted date to play them.

Sat night so most coasties can go after retail work

Throw in Garcia and anything short of 15k would be a huge disappointment.

That said, we are linked with Everton. Sh*it :)

So far that seems more like a Claytons link.

Just checking out Ticketek now.

WSW have the usual 3 bays but next to them towards the middle bay 2 is sold out. I wonder if this is the LFC group. If so interesting place to put them. They will be in red but signing for our star:vhappy:

Platinum tickets are sold out

Westside bays 10, 7, 6, 5, 37, 38, 39 and 40 all sold out.

Bays 35, 36 and 41 seem limited as only says you can buy up to 1 ticket.

Consider the west is almost sold and add WSW should equal one full side sold without our East members. 10k probably already sold

Agree, decked out in Red - from a visual/TV perspective they'll just look like Wanderer's fans.

Bays 22 or 23, right in front of the corner flag down the northern end would of been the best spot for them. Yellow either side of them giving the contrast.

Up with Mariners fans! !!!
Poor oversight from the club.

As per CCM thread it's an assumption there is also a bay on west side could be 10 or 11 somewhere near so could be there to.

My bad if starting something when I am not sure

SMH are suggesting Bay 10 will be "The Garcia Bay" for the LFC supporters

Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia to make debut for Mariners on Saturday

Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia is set to make his debut for Central Coast Mariners on Saturday against Western Sydney Wanderers despite arriving in Australia just two days before.

The Mariners' marquee player arrives in Sydney early on Thursday morning and will likely have just one full training session with his new club before making his A-League debut. In terms of name and broader appeal, Garcia is one of the biggest signings in the club's history and the Mariners are eager to ensure their prized recruit spends as much time on the field in his minimum 12-game deal with the club.

Mariners coach Tony Walmsley was coy as to whether Garcia will start in his first game at the club but insists the 37-year-old will almost certainly make it onto the field at Central Coast Stadium on Saturday whether it be in the first 11 or from the bench.

"I don't want say he'll start, I don't want to say he'll be on the bench either, I want to say he'll be involved in the match day squad," Walmsley said.

Despite spending most of his career as a winger, the former Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona player will be deployed as a central attacking midfielder by the Mariners. With the likes of Fabio Ferreira and Mitch Austin on either flank and the promising Liam Rose playing behind, the Mariners are eager to use the experience, technique and ability of Garcia to improve their standard.

"He's the type of player that in a team of ours that's full of willing workers - he can find room with the technique and make it count. I'm not expecting him to go box to box but get into pockets," Walmsley said.

Garcia has not played competitive football for over a year since last playing in the Indian Super League in December 2014 however the Mariners believe he will be fit enough to compete at a high level in the A-League.

"When you look at Luis' current training regime, he's doing things that some of our players can't do. We've got a high expectation that he'll be able to compete," Walmsley said. "He's a very fit individual. You only have to look at his recent Instagram feeds of his football-specific power training to realise that he's quite an extraordinary athlete."

The signing of Garcia has already gathered the attention of an Australian-based Liverpool supporter group who will attend Saturday's match and sit in a designated supporters' bay for the Spaniard. Bay 10 will be dubbed "The Luis Garcia bay" which is expected to be sold out with a high demand from EPL fans who don't regularly attend Australian football games.

Central Coast Mariners further bolstered their attacking stocks with the signing of former Young Socceroo Matthew Fletcher. The former Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland youth team player has recently been on trial with the club and could also be eligible to make his debut against the Wanderers.

The Mariners are also close to securing a deal to sign former Wanderers and Perth Glory winger Youssouf Hersi whose move has been delayed by passport issues. Hersi, 33, has been without a club since leaving the Glory at the end of last season and will also add some much needed experience to the young Mariners' squad and bolster their defence for next season.

"Hersi coming in will give us that competitive edge in key areas of the pitch hopefully and that's it. The main focus for us is next season and we'll be looking at strengthening our centre of defence, strengthening our No.10 position," Walmsley said.

Meanwhile, Sydney appears set to host the Socceroos vital World Cup Qualifying match against Jordan in March.

The match is Australia's final game of the first round of qualifiers and could decide who finishes on top and looks set to be played at Allianz Stadium.

THIS. MAKES. ME. VERY. HAPPY.

We know his ability, but fitness / injury potential was a huge concern. This is not a positive or optimistic spin by the club, he's clearly in excellent condition. Fitter and stronger than ADP was by a decent margin it looks. Going to be able to have a bigger impact than could have reasonably dared hoped for.

He definitely looks fit by those Instagram posts. He still has great touch too judging by his performance in the Liverpool Legends game. I'm pretty optimistic he will shut the doubters up.

Would love to win this one to shut the chasing pack up..

I have listen to the Charleworth podcast a couple of times and what stands out for me is we are fighting now to stay in the league...

MC made it clear FFA would prefer a team in Sydney to us and he saw the COE as insurance.

The PFA have also made it clear they way they tried to stop us getting a fee on the weeMack sale and re the super letter they issues before Christmas that said in part, Brisbane, Newcastle and the Central Coast have super payments outstanding to pay by ###### if Brisbane and Newcastle don't pay its OK because we have arrangements in place but we have written to all CC players advising them of their rights...

SBS well say no more than their 12 year history ... yer 12 years Mrs Football actually to Frank Lowy twice before Hal started saying he did not think a CC team would work..

Add Cock Head at Fox ....

So we can say F you to FFA, PFA, SBS .... and others ...

Hope we smash em.... nay hope they go home with sore shins... and we win...

Don't think so

Wouldn't make much sense - our (the members) tickets aren't numbered like that, so it would mean starting all ticket sales around 6000 just for the sake of a PAX number, which only obsessive fans like us actually look at ;)
Although I'm sure they don't start at 00001 either...
Pretty sure it isn't... So it shows promise of a bumper crowd I think... If, say, 2/3 of the fans show up, we're looking at somewhere around 12000 plus the walk-ups on the day and whatever sales are to come.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if we've ever had any numbers on what percentage of the members actually show up to a game.
It'd be interesting to see how far we're off the 100% regularly, accepting that obviously the 3/6 game memberships would keep us at a certain distance ;)
