I am nervous about this one to be honest, what with the distractions of Xmas and last week’s debacle, the boys could well find themselves struggling against a fit and hungry Adelaide side.
...I think we will struggle against Adelaide tomorrow, especially if Tommy as well as Wout are out of the team, as that removes a huge amount of the physicality from the side.

Hope I am proved wrong but I for one will be watching the game on tenterhooks.

We all hope you're wrong, but I fear you're right. If both Tommy & Wout are out Adelaide will almost certainly have DDS marked out of the game. We haven't scored a goal in our last two games, and I reckon we'll be lucky to score tonight.

Like you OzH, I hope I'm wrong.

Yep. We’re undergunned. And for mine I’m not sure with our present formation and squad there’s a way to strengthen without changing shape.

Liam and Berry is not a viable DM pairing imho.

We have more depth in attack. A narrow diamond 442 like arnie played would suit our personnel better I think.

DDS in behind Powell and Adsrubal. Hoole and pain tucking in to protect Liam at the base with roux and rose overlapping wingbacks which both I think do well...

But a change of shape if it’s unpracticed is not a good idea.

So... very interesting test for Okon.

I agree with those that believe Tommy and Rosebud are a more balanced pairing that Wout and Liam, but either way young Rosey needs to show a lot more belief and enthusiasm than he did against the Wanderers last time out.

I am hearing that he is struggling with the lack of game time he is getting, which if true, makes his disappointing display last time out even more baffling. Having finally been given a chance to show his qualities he really needs to grab it with both hands, just like Appiah and McGing have.

Most players struggle with a lack of game time but yes, needs to grab his chance, but that's a lot easier said than done and I think, a lot more belief and enthusiasm is the only way I see him having an impact big enough that he has a chance pf getting more game time, but even then where CB? Very unlikely to be starting in front of Tom or Wout for a few years...

Adelaide will also be without Gullum, which is a big out for them, although they can bring in Worland or Regan to replace him but he does bring a lot to their game, so that’s a plus for us.

Tommy back makes me a little more optimistic. I generally don't feel positive about this game, partly feeling dirty because of the disgusting FFA rorting we've been receiving, and (until this news about Tommy playing) we didn't have a defensive midfield to speak of.

Looks like we will be playing a 433 tonight with Hoole and Danny as the two 10s, Hairiej as the DM pivot, Connor and Appia as the wingers and Powell up front.
Looks a very interesting team. Very very attacking team and Asdrubal on the bench could replace Powell or the wingers if necessary. Looking forward to see how this formation goes. I'm glad we've changed things up cause I wasn't looking forward to this at all after last game. Big game for Tom.
