heff will no doubt be breathing a sigh of relief with Talay out

I thought the challenge was more cynical rather than malicious - it was just the way heff fell. Anyway 2-1 to us and crowd 13,500 (energy australia kids free day)

Doubtless we will have to put up with a few twats in Scouse gear on sunday?

lol, hadn't even thought! But your right! All adds to the spectacle and the coffers I guess.

Re Kwas...
It's funny.. I have been a Kwas critic before when reason I felt warranted it. But I actually thought he was doing quite well before he got pulled and that it was more a shape issue with Hutch going to the left and combined with the fact that Hutch is definitely a 90 minute player both mentally and physically...

Not being first choice striker I understand, because I think he's better wide, so he's been going back to youth team to get game time and playing off the bench... but not necessarily because his form is poor is it? As said, whenever i've watched him, I though his form has been quite good.

Yeah id say that sounds right Bex,
Hmmm... I'd say it'll be...

         Danny

Boogs Doig Wilko Heff

          Pedj
Porter           Kwas

        Travis

     D Mac   Matty

Bench, Ahmad and or Crowell, Clarkey & Redders

I like that line up.

Good for us that ufuk is out, he has been handy for them this season, when he has played

Re Ufuk, absolutely. Steffanuto is also a big loss for them. But not as big as Ufuk... Still... I bet they'll be pretty glad Weemacs out... and Hutch...

But our secret weapon is the absence of Nik.
This fact they may not quite realise the significance of!
;D

been looking forward to this one since Fowler signed!!! We are lucky in the A league that we have seen some past great players have a run down here, namely Romario, Kazu, Yorke, Juninho, Jardel and now Fowler.

fingers crossed its a high scoring classic!!!

4-3 mariners
Boogs, trav, trav and MS

I hope that's a joke?

not saying he was good here but you can't dispute he was a good player

Ok, Good, thanks.

Though messes up how I though we would shape up as I thought Kwas would go into left mid for Hutch... I'm now guessing we may well see Ahmad starting? Unless Crowell is coming in? Pedj attacks well. That could be interesting.

But someone please tell Kwas NOT to play like a smaller target man, but focus on sitting high on the shoulder and making runs that stretch defenders and make space. Be a nice change to just two big guys trying to knock it on with their head all the time.
