ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

There are no tackles in that match as outright dangerous as Tommy's. Grant's own effort wouldn't look out of place in the video but Tommy went *at* Grant.

These guys in the vid are incredibly clumsily lunging at the ball and making contact with each other basically incidentally. It doesn't mean the tackles are smart - they're not - nor that they're not reckless - they are - but they're not a patch on a lunge at a player.

Tommy just snuck his studs down before striking Grant, and both players should be very glad he did - a nasty injury would surely have followed had he not.

It's not the worst tackle ever, there have been plenty at least in the same league or worse, but let's not continue to pretend nearly 2 weeks later that it wasn't a deserved red.

Don't know what you've been smoking Dibo, NOBODY has said in this thread that the tackle didn't deserve a red. Everyone is pretty much saying it's about consistancy. Surely you can accept that decisions need to be consistant?

Fouls committed on a player aren't necessary reds. The FFA also has disciplinary guidelines that Gus at least would be very familiar with that essentially bind minimums on the offences.
