Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i love how one eyed supporters can be sometimes. that was a shocking tackle by boogard that could have broken his leg.
very happy to see a red card.

Sorry but every week worse tackles happen that are not punished - no studs up I think yellow

no studs up? wtf? he hit him with his studs above his ankle from behind. a tackle from behind is a red anyway.

Read the rule book - IT DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE A TACKLE FROM BEHIND IS A STRAIGHT RED - Please read the rule book

Cant find the list, but we did it to the youth side as well...scored off an 87th min free kick to win 2-1.

Boogs tackle didn't look that bad off the streaming from an Iraqi website :p

And yeah...we have a phenomenal attack, but the defence is lacking atm...maybe Heff can bring some much needed guidance back...Wilko doesn't seem to be doing to much.

a tackle from behind is deemed to be a tackle that endangers the safety of the opponent and is deemed as serious foul play.

If you hit someone studs up above the ankle that's dangerous play and a straight red card.

Also, he can't read the rule book, it doesn't exist. It would be the LAW book

Whatever - glad you don't ref our games (and I play 1st Grade)

So every tackle from behind is a straight red - geeze you made 3 posts in total I'm thinking TROLL at the moment.... Sorry if you aren't but I don't see how its different from 6 other tackles in that game by both sides

Not disagreeing about LAW book rule book - Farken semantics

Happy to change my mind guys but I didn't see studs up. If it was then yes red.
BUT please don't argue that all tackjles from behind are RED

Yes and serious Foul play is not deemed a straight red but is up to the discretion of the referee

TBH I haven't seen Pedj play much..haven't caught many games this season, but I know that Heffs experience could be a good settling factor for our back line.

Pedj has been solid all season and we definately missed him tonight. Having Heff back would also be a great boost to our defence.

Twat. Must be a perth or scum supporter cause who would agree with anyone in yellw getting sent off.I thought the ref was fantastic but dunno if it was a straight red. As I said he's probably out with injury anyway and hopefully we get heff back next week definately pedj and maybe clarkey.

Pedj is one of Mr McKinna's signings of the season IMHO.

Same type of signing as when we got mile 2 seasons ago. Straight from the state league, tough, resiliant type of player who wears his heart on his sleeve and as tough as nails.

you lecture me about needing to read the laws and then post this.

yep - he's made three posts and each one arguing it was a RED

FROM THE LAW BOOK

Disciplinary sanctions
If a player plays in a dangerous manner in a normal challenge,
the referee should not take any disciplinary action. If the action is
made with obvious risk of injury, the referee should caution the
player

So the question is was it normal or not - I need to see it more...

Happy to be convinced it was Serious Foul play - Just don't agree it was after looking at it twice
