. sorry for such late posting (i have been away and without internet access) - but considering the results since, i thought it was worth posting a few thoughts on the first game to draw some context:
- when the boys were heading off at half time i thought 'i wonder if Paul has the balls to pull Faty at half-time'. the fact he did was the single most impressive thing for me - there are many layers to the consequences of this one action
- the fightback ... something that has been seriously lacking when compared to the CCM of old
- although i think this one was largely related to the first - the change in Tavares in the second half ... which showed that he could play - if he wanted to!
- Necevski made some critical saves which i thought was a good sign for our goal-keeping (this is probably the one which has not held up very well)
