^ This.

Away OS for work so missed the last two. But back in time for Sunday. Couldn't believe it when I read TW put Louis upfront. Crazy. Maybe it was Louis suggestion. Nothing else makes sense.

Anyway. If we're looking to improve our young squad for next season we need to focus on holding the ball much better imo - but starting trent to throw a pacey attack at them will see anything but more possession.

Anyway, we'll see...

He (Posco) is not great as a RB, agreed, but he is more solid than Roux defensively.

Storm Boy is good going forward but calamatus in defence.

Agree, it's the defensive aspect you need to focus on with Posco at RB not the 'go-forward'.

When Fab needs to replaced this game, and had TW's ear I'd suggest;
- pushing Roux up into Fabs wide-right role attacking.
- Sliding Posco into the RB
- Dropping Ascroft back into the CB pairing with Uskok from the DM position Harry should start in (like the last time against Mooy).

Fabio's substitution? would leave you with either Mickey Neil or Rosebud to come on for the DM position Ascroft vacates.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
so Garcia is on the bench due to the short turn around?...what short turn around? its not like he swam back from Wellington or something, sure his 37 but if his wasnt fit from the off and didnt look like he would be able to get match fit...why did they give him money we could of used for a more longer lasting player.....wait dont answer, Im a prick for bagging Luis I know

I guess he won't ever be match fit in such a short stint.

That start was owner of management interference I guess. To build a big crowd etc.

I would much rather buy a young striker who has actual potential with the same amount of money that we spent on Luis. But that's just me.

I rather think Luis came in to impart his experience to the youngsters and hopefully put a few more bums on seats, rather than for what he can do on the pitch, impressive as that can be.

That boy Trent :headbutt:

What the hell is wrong with Bingham been playing great, Shafted for the bulldozer and now the kid.

Playing Fab, Austin and Trent with no Luis or Stella is dumb.

Austin whips in a cross to Trent. Don't think so. Even on Fabs shoulders he won't reach it.

The spoon is almost official

No Novillo so don't worry.

Storm is the only one capable of getting the ball to Fab

Melbourne City sanctions Novillo with fine & two-game ban:
novilo.jpg

Melbourne City has imposed a two-game suspension on Harry Novillo and fined the player half a week's wages after an off-field incident earlier this week.

City completed a comprehensive investigation into the incident involving Novillo and his "distressed" partner that took place in the early hours of Tuesday.

Whilst the incident has not resulted in criminal charges, the Club’s investigations have confirmed that there has been a significant breach of the requirements set out in the FFA National Code of Conduct.

Specifically that the player failed to uphold professional standards off the field, failed to behave in a manner that promotes the highest standards of integrity and that the player failed to properly explain his absence from a Club training session.

The Club has therefore applied the maximum sanction available to it under the FFA National Code of Conduct.

Novillo will receive a two match suspension and be fined 50 per cent of one week’s wages.

Given Garcia is benched according to reports, is it not a possibility that Trent AND Bingers will start? One at 10, one at 9?

Go back through the thread, the articles have been posted

Garcia was only ever going to play 60 mins max. this game so I guess it's a matter of how to most effectively use him. I'll put money on him starting against the scum at home next week

Beautiful day down here in Mexico too. Been a long time since I've had the chance to see the boys play live. Heck, i haven't actually had the chance to watch a game since we had Garcia come over!
