R20 City v CCM

Interesting proposition this weekend. Imagining Garcia will be played in his proper position, and also *hoping* Bray might start ahead of Izzo.

For City, of course no Caceres after he wussed out by picking up a red in the derby, and there's a chance Novillo may not take part after being arrested the other day.

Is it too much to hope Fornaroli gets the stomach flu as well?

Not looking forward to this one. Also not optimistic about TW making the right decision with Izzo. Expecting a belting here. I should be in attendance though.

Caceres deliberately picked up his second yellow :yellowcard: to then get the red, just so he could miss this game.

Just couldnt face the booing from the stands or take the kicking on the pitch.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
well, im not expecting 3 points BUT stranger things have happened...not overly confident that TW will pick a squad that will cause problems for MC but like I said ...Stranger things have happened

We've only seen a very little of Bray - maybe in training he shows a much lower quality of keeping than Izzo? I have my doubts but theoretically that should be the only reason he doesn't get a start apart from injury/fitness.

Have to wonder wether TW will employ Ascroft again in a 'man-marking' role against Mooy ???

He was superb and totally shut him out of the game despite us losing terribly.

Mooy could be heard over the effects microphones complaining to Van't Schip, "he won't stop following me" like it was 5yo's playing chasey's. :D

You'd have to be silly not to think Van't Schip wont have formulated something to deal with this if TW wants to give it a go, AGAIN.

With NO Stella there'll have to be a bit of shuffling to cover LG's #10 position (that's if TW doesn't want to empty the stadium by playing Garcia as a #9 again;))

Looking at the squad listed above Liam Rose for mine seems the only option. Whether LG starts or not.

Do you think Ascroft & McGing are just sharing one spot?

With that confirmed, Posco HAS to remain in the middle if were wanting some certainty in defense.

The big Question is who to partner with him ???

Tommy Uskok or Harry Ascroft ???

Harry did a great job on Mooy last time round as a DM (which is supposedly his natural position) man marking him all over the pitch.

He also made some good contributions in the front third later in the game, he's quite comfortable on the ball taking it forward.

Uskok can also play as a DM (supposedly), but we've yet to try him there in a game, only as a CB, where on viewing those times - I'm still undecided about his quality and possible future at the club.

Either way, regardless of Walmsley's decision on where he plays - this game will be a real test for Tomi AND US.
