ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'll take a point in the heat against the Pussies any day. Especially because we played with a very in-experienced line up due to forced changes. Ibini tore them to shreds in the first half, but faded. Sainsbury had a good game, but they exploited our missing Bojic. I hope Olly is OK. Had the game gone on another 10 minutes I reckon we would have pinched it, as we finished strongly. Glimpses at the end of the Caceres, Duke, Macca combo that looked good. Amazing that Anderson had a part to play in Macca's goal. Even Dutchy went on a rampaging run. I love that adventuresome play!

The Roar's new Dutchman looked the goods.

Six points in front and no damage to our goal difference. Nice!

Sainsbury playing out of position contributed to their second goal, but otherwise a good defence.
FoxSports commentary got their own agenda, don't be put off by that crap.
We finished strongly.
Who reckons North looks like Voldemort?

1 point away?

Take that.
Agreed, but the 1 point is not as satisfying as taking a point off an Ange-coached Roar.

Having said that though, I hope that clawing back from 2-1 down has added another thread of invincibility into the Mariners psyche.

poor defending . the lack of concentration after halftime was irresponsible.
once again conceding a near post goal.
big effort after digging ourselves an abyss and climbing into it.
fox commentary was reprehensible .after Sainsbury won the ball against murdocha.
(due to a hospital pass from the mad albanian) .they attempted to start a twitter
witch hunt against him . woefully bias commentary

Should have won the game in a comfortable manner if it wasn't for the man in blue. Lack of balls shown by the ref not to send Jade North and Berisha off the field. The roar should have ended the first 45 with 10 men and that would have ended any hopes of a victory for them. Good 1rst half by the mariners.Negatives of our 2nd half till their 2nd goal were giving ball and territory to brisbane, letting them play and just come at us. After Roar goes in front the mariners react and start dominating actions ( this is how we should play for 90 mins!!) with the energy of Duke combining well with Birnie and Macca plus the good ball distribution that I know Caceres (did great) can provide from midfield we could and should have won it if it wasn't for the bad finishing.Great effort by a team plagued with injuries and with a lot of young ones that showed a lot of character when it counts. No excuses but i do insist that the ref had a lot to do with the mariners not getting the 3 pts.

A match report from a Roar supporter in Brisbane:

I did like this -

Credit to the Mariners, you do get the feeling watching the Mariners that they are just an incredible machine. They don’t have highs and lows, they are just a consistent surge, you can sometimes get above them, but you then have to keep it up for the full 90, because they don’t stop and will eventually make you pay

Yeah we seem to be a lot more consistent this season than others. If we go a goal down it's not all over. Likewise if we miss a few chances or things don't go our way for a while, the heads don't drop and minds disappear to whatever they are doing post-game.
