ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Looks like he's got an eye for the pass & can shoot. Seems to lack pace which maybe why he hasn't been picked up before.

To be fair to Trent, I don't think he did that. He apparently *did* press home his right to release under the terms of the contract that is currently in force whereas the Mariners hoped to hold him to the terms of the contract that would have extended his stay (but which is now obviously void), but all I can say to that is apparently we need a better lawyer.

McBreen on the other hand...

Look, I can understand he wanted to set himself up, and I can't begrudge him that. But whether it's him or his agent, threatening to withdraw from the Brisbane trip leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I wish him well, but I'm less happy with how that went down than I am with Trent's move.

As for Trifiro and Cernak - good cover and I'm a little surprised we were able to manage to get them under the cap there. I suppose it's a form of paid trial for them - they might be on minimums to the end of the season at which point we consider their future options.

My little rant was mainly at McBreen and his threats to pull out of the Brisbane game if he wasn't released... but either way, if the player wants to go, they will find a way out of their contract.
On the other hand if they are useless they can wait out the full term.

A-league window closes wednessday - according to article about SFC interest in Og.

Spoke to a koren collegue today who likes football but not a massive fan. Said he had never heard of our new signing. Just means he is not a massive name like an Ono for WSW.
While doesn't mean much he is hardly going to send the koren community crazy & have them driving up the F3 to see him.

SUFC, not SFC. It's Sydney United.

I don't reckon Troy's coming back - he's playing NNSW NPL with Charlestown and talking up his love of Newcastle.

Glen Trifiro is looking like a very good pick up.

"The tricky midfielder, who earned the plaudits from his fellow peers as being one of the competition’s expert set piece specialists has been one of the main catalysts behind Sydney United 58 FC’s success this year."

http://walterpless.com.au/2013/october/glen-trifiro-worthy-winner-of-john-kosmina-medal.html

"Glen Trifiro, the 23-year-old Sydney United 58 FC midfielder, deserved his man-of-the-match award after Sunday’s 2-0 win over South Hobart in the NPL Final.
Trifiro, who showed excellent skills, speed of thought and movement and who scored the opening goal, was presented with the John Kosmina Medal."

As with most things, Walter is spot on with his assessment of Trifiro's performance in the final, deserved winner. The only ?? I have is his fitness and whether he could run out a full 90 in the higher levels but his ball skills in tight areas was light years ahead of other SUFC and SHFC players that day. Pretty happy with this pick up.

If memory serves me correct he was CCM youth prior to joining Perth.
Correct, 2008/2009

Central Coast Mariners FC :
Player listing:
30 Andrew REDMAYNE (gk, 13. Laurence BRAUDE (2. Steven Tibbetts +59'), 6. David D'APUZZO, 8. Nick KAPSIS, 7. Matthew LEWIS (Greg Owens (OA) +75'), 17. Sean MITCHELL, 3. Paul O'GRADY (OA) (12. Any confirmation of the Isaka Cernak and Ian Hogg rumours?

I remember watching him as a NYL player with the Mariners in a pre-match at Bluetongue; I was very surprised he did not win a first team contract. He had good tight skills; it is an interesting pick up.

Also, do you reckon Kim will cop a lot of racist abuse up there? Cos I remember the former Jets player Song copping a bit from the Mariners crowd a few years back in a F3 derby.

I can't speak for everyone watching the game but I'd say that there shouldn't be any racial abuse coming from any Mariners fans, away fans can sometimes use racial slurs as a cheap unintelligent shot at players and teams, but that's a very small minority and they're not tolerated. Kim will have full support from the Mariners fans!
