So did the first half commentator get sacked at half time for being so shit and replaced by the objective and well spoken British guy?

Fancy calling that red card controversial when Ollis leg nearly snapped in half, wtf..

Nowhere near the ball, studs up, leg fully extended, late and full contact into the middle of the attacking players shin?

You're kidding right?

Job done: three points, six wins on the bounce and a five point break at the top of the table. My goodness! It is always difficult away to Perth but the sign of a good side is how they exploit the weakness of the opposition. And the Mariners are a good side. That weakness came with the red card and the Mariners were ruthless in execution. Perth were spirited but Bernie Ibini-Isei's goal was pure class; the sort of goal to get you out of your seat and pump the air. the sort of goal very few strikers can score but he did - quick feet and great power in the finish. Pedj's goal came as the result of an amazing run off the ball and testimony to his effort, and Matt Simon can thank Bernie for heads up unselfish play. Mat Ryan produced some excellent work but spoiled it with a return to the mistakes of last year, just when I thought he would be mistake free this year...
MoM - Bernie - great goal and the assist for Simon
2. McGlinchey - the pass for Bojic and the outstanding chip over the top to set Bernie free for Simon's goal
3. Hutchinson - pretty much in control throughout.

Can't agree more. Terrible tackle & deserved a straight red. Player safety must come first always.

Only saw the first half & was concerned at 0-0 so glad to hear that we won well. Go you mighty Mariners!

Must have been the same one that did the write up for News Ltd "a controversial red card"

Arnie's doing a superb coaching job overall, but I'm certainly impressed with the development of Berni. A very raw talent 12 weeks ago, he's turning into a very mature striker now, and reaping the rewards. A way to go yet for the polished product, but wow!

I'm a big hutch fan but his piles of possession were more down to Perth vacating that area to stack their back line. He got a lot more time than normal to bounce passes around.that said he made excellent use of the time and space and must've made a hundred passes.

In the cold light of today even most Glory fans have little argument with the straight red (from gloryboys forum) and reckon if Fergie appeals it he's an idiot.

I thought it was a measured performance by us and showed our confidence. I thought Perth were decent until we scored and then they gifted us too much space.

Ryan 7. Let in a howler but apart from that looked sharp and I'd much rather have him than Danny.
Pedj. 7. Brilliant work rate with the usual poor touch.
Rose 7.5. Looked dangerous all game.
Wilko 7.5. Has added a level of toughness to his game this year. Impressive.
Dutchy. 7.5. Rock solid.
Weemac 7.5. Like a little buzz saw. Good game.
Hutcho 7. Very competent. Got done a couple of times but overall very solid and loved the slow pace in last 25mins.
Amini 7. Reeks of quality but gave the ball away cheaply a few times. Wish he was with us next year.
Olly 7. Welcome return. Worked hard and lovely movement but still not in top nick yet.
Simon 7.5. Worked his skinny arse off. Good game.
Bernie 8. MOM. Makes it look easy.

All the subs did a decent job again.

3pts Bernie
2pts Wilko
1pt. WeeMac
