ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I filled it out too and to be fair, other than no pause/rewind and VoD available right after a match finishes, I've been very happy with P+ on my PC...but the more options the better and hopefully they step up their game for the next season.

Tbh that’s my experience. The very worst thing is just not being able to watch games offset. It used to be fine to tune into a game late, just avoid spoilers and get into it. Now you have to wait till it’s finished and they finally put the replay up. Horrible. Also means I don’t watch other games as much.

I gave them both barrels in my responses, so many issues with P- that they will likely be hard pressed to fix them all without some serious investment in time and money but we can live in hope. My missus tells me there are similar complaints circulating in the US with their MLS coverage, so I won’t be holding my breath for a quick fix.

Finished plus 3ish hours last time I tried. Completely ruins it and makes the replay all but pointless.

I came across a Courier Mail article from 23 Feb 2017 comparing the cost of junior sporting codes. One reason given for football up front fees being double that for AFL is that other codes subsidise fees from broadcast rights income. Does anyone know whether this has changed since SBS and 10/Paramount paid for the rights?
Its a hell of a disincentive for a parent to consider football for their children.

I'd suggest Danny doesnt give grassroots football a cent. Why would he? The revenue is his, grassroots is FA
I think that's fair tbh. That's FA's job to help drive down costs and make sure nobody is gouging including state feds. You have to ask whether those averages include NPL academies and skew them because if they are included it will drag numbers up. I think its around 200ish each for my kids which active kids vouchers cover a good chunk of and I pay the gap. My rego is more like the 400 quoted and feels a bit steep.

Unfortunately the price for Football is still insane for registration even for something like All Age "grades"...
Pretty sure my brother just paid over $400 to register with East Gosford for the season

Nearly $500 at Terrigal. The clubs with bigger Premier League programs are the most expensive for rego. Money is going towards subsidising things like premier league coaches who could be earning around $30k a year.

Come to Ourimbah. We are cheaper because we don’t subsidise our premier league program.

The vast majority of a registration fee goes to either the club or Central Coast Football. The FA and FNSW component are only a small percentage.

As for the $400 there is also an argument that if you train one night a week you should get nearly forty football sessions in a season when you add in games. This equates to around $10 per session which is cheaper than the majority of any other organised sport/gym/class out there.

Only $380 at Barnstoneworth, I guess that’s the benefit of playing at a club where there is a focus on delivering the best deal for players.

We also get a free polo shirt, paid for pre-season trial games and most importantly, are getting our own branded beer this season!

Ahh Ourimbah. They were my very first team I played for back in the day. Fond memories lol

They don’t have any juniors at all do they? I don’t mind a bit of my rego helping out the juniors but I would have an issue subsiding a BPL (or whatever it’s called now) program.

The game needs a nationwide tip to bottom review to determine and detail where the costs come from. Is it councils gouging participants in some areas? Different state feds taking the piss? Local association level? For $400ish per season it feels like there’s a few extra fingers in the pie.

No juniors, just O35’s O45’s and men’s and women’s All Age
