Hey guts lets not be too hasty here.

It is quite possible that someone else broke into the unit in the early hours and glassed Birds bird.

Note he has denied it in court and apparently is blaming someone else.

Assume that will be his defence for punching a girl in January for which he is also charged.

You are all so nasty and suspicious

obviously they were hoping to sweep it under the rug but its come out, they just dont learn these cave men, stop acting like a bunch of meatheads - i guess thats hard to do when theyre all muscle and no brain though!

totally agree. Im no feminest but last time i checked there was no women in any positions of power on any of the NRL boards or any power positions for that matter (CEO, directos ect)  and it clearly shows in the way they run as a businiess.
they actually do have at least 1 female on the ARL board, i watched the foody show interview with gallop and the panel on the money bill williams thing and they interviewed a woman who sits on the board cant remember her name, they have also tried educating players on treating women etc - i mean thats bloody common sense though, you dont need to be taught how to properly treat the opposite sex, it comes naturally... but these bufoons keep doing it. The sooner the general public wake up to themselves and see RL for what it is the better... AFL would be loving this too

;)  ;D If that's the case why was he charged and detained overnight? And why would the news services break the story with him being named rather than saying an incident at his place where someone got hurt? Maybe the news services know a little more at the moment?

good point here - innocent until proven... etc.

I blame the "glassing fairy" that sneaks into peoples houses and glasses them.

"*sob sob sob* I felt threatened for my life when she came at me with a pillow in a friendly playful gesture, so I glassed her your honour. Yes I do weigh 110 kg and can bench press twice my weight your honour, but you should have seen the smile on her face and the intensity in which she swung that soft cotton pillow, it haunts me to this day *sob sob sob*"

THREE Brisbane Broncos rugby league footballers are under investigation over an alleged sexual assault at a Brisbane nightclub on Saturday night.

A woman was last night formally interviewed by Queensland police over allegations she was sexually assaulted in the toilets of the Alhambra Lounge, in inner-city Fortitude Valley, The Australian reports.

It is expected the players and witnesses at the nightclub will be interviewed later today by police.

Sources said police were attempting to establish the circumstances leading up to the alleged incident.

The woman made the complaint just after 9pm (AEST) on Saturday, leading police to set up a crime scene at the club and seize footage from security cameras.

A sexual assault examination was also conducted on the woman that evening.

It is expected to take several days before police make a decision on whether to press charges.

The players are believed to have arrived at the club after having been evicted from two hotels, including the Story Bridge Hotel, earlier in the day.

The Broncos' drinking session followed Friday night's resounding semi-final victory over the Sydney Roosters, guaranteeing the team a home final against the Melbourne Storm on Saturday night.

Concerns have been mounting within the club's management for several months over a growing drinking culture among some groups of players.

Captain Darren Lockyer addressed the team less than a month ago about some of the players' off-field behaviour, pleading with them to curb their drinking during the finals' series.

A Brisbane Broncos spokesman said the club had not received a formal complaint from police and could not confirm whether there were any Broncos players at the nightclub at the time of the assault.

All finals betting has been suspended so it is unlikely they are "fringe" players if the bookies are running scared.

Wonder when a sponsor will have the bals to stop funding a sport that does nothing to cut this sort of stuff out.

I know a nice Mr Gorman who will take yor $$

bookies have suspended betting till they find out who the players are(according to articles).....although one would think that they would know who is involved

Heres hoping that they get time and massive publicity to drag the game into the mire and that sponsors walk.

We have won the war, now we just need to finish off the prisoners lol

Hahaham the Warriors (8th) beat the Storm (1st) at Olympic Park, should be a great day to talk about a shock result blah blah blah.    But of course, they shoot themselves in the foot with _another_ sexual assault case.  *shakes head*

*laughs*  Only a matter of time people, only a matter of time.
