ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Definately should be playing.

After being corrected about his position, would he be any worse than Elrich was, on the Right flank last game vs. Sydney?

He's only been given ten minutes or so by Lawrie, but I remember him being quite feisty and taking to a Melbourne player like a rabid dog. Picked a yellow for his effort too.

Does anyone that attends the training sessions have any idea why Lawrie isn't giving him a run over the last two games? I mean, we've had Porter playing back in RB, and surely to god, Travis could have picked up the tempo at RM when Elrich got tired?

I do want to see him being given a decent run so we can say for ourselves whether he's this or that sort of player. Please Lawrie?  :ashamed: ;D

How were you able to tell when Elrich got tired? He seemed to be at the same level of unfitness for all of the time he was Sydneys 12th man.

Elrich did get a fair go by Lawrie, and I reckon Lawrie would know when to get him off the pitch +/- 10 minutes! It's then that Travis should have gone on, but I think Lawrie put Macca (the bigger ) on instead.

Also, my missus was wondering if Elrich is a devout Muslim, as she reckons it's Ramadan and Muslims have to fast from sun up to sun down. So if Elrich was fasting, it may explain his tiredness? They are not even supposed to drink during the daylight hours, must be hard if you have to play Football?

Tbf D.Mac came on, had a couple of chances and almost won the game for us.If the chance at the end goes in LM'S a genius  ;)

But yes I would like to see Travis get a run.

I'd also like to see Travis get a run. We have plenty of options though at the moment and Elrich is a quality player who probably needs half a dozen full games to get back into form. There will be alot of questions regarding selection this year but it is a good problem to have.Wee Mac and Pedj (and maybe Hutcho?)seem to have cemented their place in the mids but there are probably 6 or 7 guys of equal ability fighting for the other spots. At the least i'd like to see Nicky get 20 minutes to give him a chance to show what he's got. If i am right he didn't get much more than 10 minutes in the trial games either?

And I thought it was just me that thought he was absolute shit. From what I understand his bread & butter play is to get up the wings and put dangerous crosses in except he can't run & can't cross which makes me wonder why he is out there. I think there is a reason he wasn't getting a run at Phoenix and from what I understand he was voted Fulhams?? worst ever signing.

To be fair, the guy has had a year out with a serious injury and needs time out in the middle to get match fit & get some confidence. All players need that after the sort of break he has had.Obviously if after that he is still out of sorts then there are no excuses. We actually have a number of guys who where probably underdone before the start of the season. Heff and Wee Mac are playing their way into form. Pedj starting to get used to a new pozzie. Guys like Travis,Caceres,Doig,Mrjda,D-Mac,Matty all need more time out in the middle and with competition so tight will need to perform when they get the chance. Nice problem to have.

Shows a bit of depth to which is essential to make it through a season.
