ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Newcastle "Supporters"

Greetings to all,

Last night, just before the other team's "supporters" came into the stadium, my wife encountered them on the Donnison St Bridge on the way to picking my daughter up from our church's youth group. They ripped two Mariners flags off our windows and then one of these "supporters" dropped their pants and they generally threatened my wife. With so many of these "supporters" around, my wife was very nervous about what else they might do. We will contact police but they won't be able to do anything about it. Has anybody else encountered anything like this?

Fairly standard scum away support really.

The good news is they are pretty well the only ones who behave like that.

Unless you got names i really doubt theres anything you can do, even if the cops decided to listen about the complaints in the first place.

Its just the Newcastle supporters, for some reason when ever they come to Gosford they decide to start destroying the place and doing whatever they can to... make themselves look like they are the missing link, i guess.

If the Marinators intend to walk into stadiums en masses we should give notice to police.

There are dickheads all over the world. Newcastle does seem to have a large percentage, though.

The good guys in Newcastle supporters can't do much to stop the bad guys. The police can.

Just one policeman standing next to the group would keep them civil.

Really? They seem to respect no authority in front of their bay inside the ground, why would they care about a copper outside?

Thats not entirely fair, I spoke to a couple of Jets fans walking back to the carpark who had been trying to stop the others being dickheads.

One guy was almost in tears he was so frustrated. He got a smack from one of his own and then thrown out for his trouble.

F**K the Scum. The sooner the Mariners get a Firm so we can kick seven shades of crap out of those inbreds, the better. I would love nothing more than to break a few Scummers' noses. See how 'ard they are then. Wankers.

By the above comment, I mean if the Scum fans want to come and cheer for their team, good on them. They can stay out of it. But as for the ones who just want to act like bogan wankers throwing s**t at our players and acting all hard trying to start fights with children and innocent Mariners fans, f**k the lot of them. It's about time we put these wankers on their arses, take away that shirtless alcohol fuelled bravado they have.

unfortunately the good blokes dont stand out.

its the stupid ones. but even your average adult in newcastle display strange and disgusting behaviours. last year after the newcastle leg of the semi, parents (with their young kids) were walking up to my brother and i, who were just casually walking towards to sewage bridge to get to the station... and starting going 'yeh get f**ked gypsies. 2-0. sucked in c**ts'. i couldn't believe it.

Get a grip! For every dickhead Jets supporter there's one on our side.  In bay 4 I saw a wanker Mariners supporter get into the face of a completely innocent Jets supporter walking out of the stadium.  It was an ugly and unnecessary sight.

He was sitting in about row Q, at the end seat of the row, and was with a group that included Murphs from Umina Soccer Club (although I hasten to add that Murphs was NOT involved, he was just with this idiot who clearly needs to cut back on the amount of piss he drinks at games!).  So anyone who knows who I'm talking about might want to tell him he made a public spectacle of himself!!

Time to remember the spectator code of conduct and the rules for being a general all-round human being...

Lets face some facts...imo not all jets fans are scum, the team they support are, but by and large they are football fans, who come along, pay their money to watch a game. Those idiotic fans, from all 8 clubs, who decide that a football match is a good reason to perform acts of ego-inflating stupidity are not only making themselves public enemies very quickly, but driving away families who don't want their children exposed to this kind of lunacy.

I've met one decent Jets fan in my time with the A-League.  That's it.  And to be fair, he's still a bit of a knob sometimes.

The rest are a pack of unwashed heathens for whom the term "scum ridden filthy bogans" would be considered a compliment.

Every team has these idiots. Like the coasties who were hanging around the road that leads to the train station waiting for Newcastle fans to go by and then try to start fights with them.

No need for some of you guys to get on your high hourse and say that all Newcastle fans are scum and are all idiots, you have plenty of those people in your own backyard.

Its a Mariners forum buddy. If a Mariner wants to voice their opinion about scum fans then they're well within their rights to do so.

By comparison, you're a scum supporter on a Mariners forum AND you seem to think you can tell us what we're allowed to post on our own forum.
