Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A left back, in a league devoid of left backs. With ample recent experience in europe. Am quite happy about this

Agree ... hope he is OK ... we need to trust Arnie on these kinda calls

God help us, this is the big signing or one of, you have to be kidding you might as well recruit dads army to play for CCM next season.

Of all the players at Uni of Crayons he was the standout from memory. Baird and co didn't really do much, but I think it was Rose that settled in and did consistently well. From memory he's a utility that played a fair bit of LB.

Never heard of him but he sounds like an excellent signing.

If he is a regular in the top flight in Romania....then i'm tipping he will be technically a fair bit better than Heff.

I also like the fact that he can score goals as well.

Jeez, yu're a miserable bugger aren't you! ???

FWIW, rom 442 mag June 09 - a Romanian fans opinion of Josh Rose "An incredibly versatile player. He came as a striker but now plays left back. He absolutely loves to attack and makes our game much more dynamic. At times his bursts on the left side surprises defences. He can be exposed at times by skilful players but in general is very solid. The fans love him because he can be a very exciting player."

Sounds like a Heff clone to me :eek:verhead:

Sheer joy at beating the scum :)

It may not be "the" signing, but a signing is a positive move. Got to give the guy a chance. He may prove to be a match winner.

With only the film clip to go by, I'm quietly impressed. Looks very speedy and versatile for a big unit. Technique looks good. And I adore overlapping fullbacks!

i dont remember seeing this guy play but his CV seems pretty good for a-league level... still at a youngish age and hopefully hasnt got a history of injuries

what we need now are some faster more creative players to feed the strikers, i think this is an area where we struggled last season, too much predictability in our play (i.e - get the ball to the wing, put in the cross look for matty or disco)

Agreed, would love to see a smaller, speedy striker up front with matty etc. Will bring much more unpredictability and excitement to our game.

CCM to play like Barcelona-Arsenal next season? :p

As for Rose, very happy. Looks to be a more experienced Heff and very exciting. Am praying that he has a clean injury record.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
having watched marquees video that was posted....he seems to be a good support player, knows his left from his right, and can score a goal....very much a 'sonic" kinda fella...NOW to the important bit..what we gonna call him ???...I think something from the sonic universe would be good.....OR we can just call him Rosey
